10-20-2026 Luke 12 v3538 Blessed Are Those Servants
The Gospel of Luke Ch 12 Verse 35 thru 38
35 “Gird your loins and light your lamps 36 and be like servants who await their master’s return from a wedding, ready to open immediately when he comes and knocks. 37 Blessed are those servants whom the master finds vigilant on his arrival. Amen, I say to you, he will gird himself, have them recline at table, and proceed to wait on them. 38 And should he come in the second or third watch and find them prepared in this way, blessed are those servants.
In Luke 12:35-38, Jesus calls His followers to be ever-vigilant and prepared for His return. The imagery of servants waiting for their master’s return from a wedding banquet emphasizes the necessity of readiness and alertness. Christ encourages us to remain dressed for action, with lamps lit, symbolizing our ongoing commitment to faith and duty. This passage serves as a reminder that we are in a season of watching and waiting, eagerly anticipating the arrival of our Savior.
Vigilance in our spiritual lives is crucial. Daily reading of the Bible equips us with wisdom and insight, grounding our faith in the truth of God’s Word. It’s in these sacred pages that we discover guidance, encouragement, and the promises of God. Each time we delve into Scripture, we cultivate a deeper relationship with Christ, preparing our hearts and minds for His return.
Moreover, prayer is an essential element of our vigilance. By bringing everything before God in prayer, we invite His presence into our daily lives, seeking His guidance in our decisions and actions. Through prayer, we acknowledge our dependence on Him, fostering a spirit of humility and readiness to respond when He calls.
Additionally, proclaiming our faith confidently within our community is vital. Sharing our common belief in Christ not only strengthens our own faith but also encourages others in their walk with God. As we testify to His goodness and grace, we create an atmosphere of unity and hope among fellow believers.
Let us heed the call to be vigilant, preparing ourselves through daily Bible study, fervent prayer, and bold proclamation. May we approach each day as an opportunity to serve our Master faithfully, living in anticipation of His glorious return. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20
10-20-2026 Luke 12 v3538
**Blessed Are Those Servants**
In the quiet night, be dressed for grace,
With lamps aglow, let your heart embrace,
For the Master comes in the hush of time,
Be watchful, be ready, in faith we climb.
Like servants waiting for their Lord’s return,
With steadfast hearts and a faithful yearn,
In the evening’s dark, keep your spirits bright,
For blessed are those who await His light.
He may arrive in the second watch to claim,
Or in the third, still we will come to ordain,
Our duty to serve, in joy and in peace,
For in His presence, our faith will increase.
Oh, what delight when He finds us awake,
To serve and to love, our hearts will not shake,
He’ll gird Himself and make us to dine,
In heavenly treasures, our souls intertwine.
So ready your hearts, let the lamps burn low,
With hope in the night, as we watch and know,
In the stillness of waiting, we find our true home,
For the Master is coming, and we’re never alone. Amen.
