10-11-2026 Philippians 4 v1220 God Will Fully Supply Whatever You Need
The Letter to the Philippians Ch 4 Verse 12 thru 20
12 I know indeed how to live in humble circumstances; I know also how to live with abundance. In every circumstance and in all things I have learned the secret of being well fed and of going hungry, of living in abundance and of being in need. 13 I have the strength for everything through him who empowers me. 14 Still, it was kind of you to share in my distress. 15 You Philippians indeed know that at the beginning of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, not a single church shared with me in an account of giving and receiving, except you alone. 16 For even when I was at Thessalonica you sent me something for my needs, not only once but more than once. 17 It is not that I am eager for the gift; rather, I am eager for the profit that accrues to your account. 18 I have received full payment and I abound. I am very well supplied because of what I received from you through Epaphroditus, “a fragrant aroma,” an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. 19 My God will fully supply whatever you need, in accord with his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. 20 To our God and Father, glory forever and ever. Amen.
In Philippians 4:12-20, the Apostle Paul shares profound insights about contentment and God’s provision. He recalls his experiences, expressing that he has learned to be content in every circumstance, whether in times of abundance or need. This remarkable ability to remain steady amid life’s extremes stems from his deep faith in Christ. Paul reassures the Philippians that, through reliance on God, they too can find peace regardless of their external situations.
In verse 19, he highlights a pivotal promise: “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” This assurance speaks not only to material needs but also to spiritual and emotional sustenance. The God we serve is not limited by our earthly circumstances; He owns the riches of glory and offers us everything we genuinely need. This is an invitation to trust in His abundant provision and to embrace a life anchored in faith, free from anxiety.
The concluding praise, “to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen,” underscores the ultimate purpose of God’s provision: His glory. When we acknowledge His generosity and faithfulness, we join in the chorus of praise, recognizing that all good things come from Him.
As readers, let this passage remind you that regardless of where you find yourself today—whether in want or in plenty—God is aware of your needs and promises to meet them. Look beyond your immediate circumstances and lean into the assurance that He is both willing and able to provide for you, according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. 10-11-2026 Philippians 4 v1220
**God Will Fully Supply Whatever You Need**
In chains of joy, Paul wrote with grace,
To the faithful in Philippi, a cherished place.
In every trial, in plenty or need,
He learned the secret, a profound creed.
Contentment in hunger, contentment in feast,
In the heart of the storm, he found perfect peace.
For strength wasn’t limited to fortunes or fate,
But in Christ, he discovered a love that’s innate.
Rejoice always, he passionately said,
In prayer and in praise, let your worries shed.
With minds set on virtue, on what is pure,
In the depths of despair, find strength to endure.
The gifts from the brethren brought comfort and cheer,
Their kindness a symbol, their love always near.
For they shared in his trials, his struggles laid bare,
A fellowship bound by a love that they share.
And my God shall supply every need of yours,
In riches of glory, where His grace pours.
Through Christ, we walk onward, our hearts intertwined,
With gratitude flowing, His Spirit defined. Amen.
