09-06-2026 Matthew 18 v1520 Jesus Is In The Midst Of Them
The Gospel of Matthew Ch 18 Verse 15 thru 20
15h “If your brother* sins [against you], go and tell him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have won over your brother.16* i If he does not listen, take one or two others along with you, so that ‘every fact may be established on the testimony of two or three witnesses.’17j If he refuses to listen to them, tell the church.* If he refuses to listen even to the church, then treat him as you would a Gentile or a tax collector.18* k Amen, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.19* l Again, [amen,] I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything for which they are to pray, it shall be granted to them by my heavenly Father.20* m For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”
In Matthew 18:15-20, we are provided with essential guidelines on reconciliation and community within the faith. Jesus emphasizes the importance of confronting sin with love, encouraging us to seek resolution among one another. When disputes arise, the call to address them directly—first privately, then with witnesses—reflects the integrity of our relationships. Jesus reminds us that when two or three are gathered in His name, He is present among them. This promise reassures us that our prayers will be heard and that peace will manifest in our hearts and communities.
As we gather in spirit today, we turn our thoughts and prayers to Sylvia, the beloved mother of Missy, who passed away last night. We grieve her loss but also celebrate her life and the love she shared with those around her. In this time of sorrow, we remember the assurance given to us by our Lord—He is with us when we come together in His name. We unite our hearts in prayer, asking for the repose of Sylvia’s soul, that she may find eternal peace and comfort in the arms of our Savior.
Heavenly Father, we entrust Sylvia into Your loving care. We seek comfort for Missy and all those mourning this profound loss. May they feel Your presence surrounding them, bringing solace in their grief. For in our unity of prayer, as we lift Sylvia’s spirit to You, we believe that peace shall be granted. Let us hold onto the promise that with You, our prayers resonate beyond earthly bounds.
As we gather, let us be intentional in our prayer, knowing that our collective intentions can usher in God’s grace. In times of conflict or struggle, we are prompted to seek resolution through love and understanding, rooted in our faith. Together, we can experience the transformative power of God’s presence, affirming that as we walk in unity, peace shall be granted. Sylvia rest in peace. Amen..

At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Jesus Is In The Midst Of Them**
In quiet corners, whispers rise,
A call for justice, hearts to advise.
When brother stumbles, falters in stride,
Go forth in love, let not shame abide.
One-on-one, a gentle approach,
In kindness speak, let truth encroach.
For healing lies in open hearts,
In honesty, the rift departs.
But if he stays in shadows cast,
Take a friend, together steadfast.
For two or three in unity stand,
They bear the weight and lend a hand.
And should he turn away in plight,
Bring forth the voices, the gathered light.
In the church’s fold, let love prevail,
For reconciliation shall not fail.
For where two or three in His name tread,
There in their midst, our Savior’s led.
The power of presence, so deeply felt,
In bonds of faith, all sorrow melt.
In every conflict, grace should lead,
For mercy sows the truest seed.
In community forged by love’s decree,
We find our way, and we shall be free. Amen.
For The Repose of The Soul of Sylvia Missy’s Mom
In quiet halls where wisdom flowed,
A librarian’s heart, a light bestowed,
Sylvia, dear, your gentle grace,
In every book, you helped find our place.
With every story, you shared your soul,
Guiding young minds, making them whole.
From dusty shelves to whispered lore,
You opened worlds and so much more.
Now the silence in the library rings,
Yet your spirit soars on hopeful wings.
You’ve found your rest, your journey’s end,
In every heart, a memory to send.
Missy, dear daughter, in your grief,
Know that love surrounds you, a gentle relief.
God hears our prayers, our whispers and sighs,
For peace to embrace you, beneath endless skies.
In the tapestry of life, woven and grand,
Sylvia’s light still will stand.
For all who knew her, she leaves behind
A legacy of love, forever entwined.
So let us gather, our hearts aligned,
In faith and hope, solace we’ll find.
With God’s gentle hand upon us, we pray,
For Sylvia’s soul as she lights the way. Amen.
May momma rest in peace. Amen.
