Jeremiah Chapter 26 Verse 11 thru 19
11 The priests and prophets said to the princes and to all the people, “Sentence this man to death! He has prophesied against this city! You heard it with your own ears.” 12 Jeremiah said to the princes and all the people: “It was the LORD who sent me to prophesy against this house and city everything you have heard. 13 Now, therefore, reform your ways and your deeds; listen to the voice of the LORD your God, so that the LORD will have a change of heart regarding the evil he has spoken against you. 14 As for me, I am in your hands; do with me what is good and right in your eyes. 15 But you should certainly know that by putting me to death, you bring innocent blood on yourselves, on this city and its inhabitants. For in truth it was the LORD who sent me to you, to speak all these words for you to hear.” 16 Then the princes and all the people said to the priests and the prophets, “This man does not deserve a death sentence; it is in the name of the LORD, our God, that he speaks to us.” 17 At this, some of the elders of the land arose and said to the whole assembly of the people, 18 “Micah of Moresheth used to prophesy in the days of Hezekiah, king of Judah, and he said to all the people of Judah: Thus says the LORD of hosts: Zion shall be plowed as a field, Jerusalem, a heap of ruins, and the temple mount, a forest ridge. 19 Did Hezekiah, king of Judah, and all Judah condemn him to death? Did he not fear the LORD and entreat the favor of the LORD, so that the LORD had a change of heart regarding the evil he had spoken against them? We, however, are about to do great evil against ourselves.”
Jeremiah 29:11-19 is a profound passage that offers hope and reassurance amidst despair. It was written during a tumultuous time when the Israelites were exiled in Babylon, facing immense uncertainty and fear for their future. In this passage, God communicates through the prophet Jeremiah, revealing divine intentions for His people. Verse 11, often quoted for its promise, states, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” This assurance encourages the exiled Israelites to trust that their current suffering and displacement are not the end, but rather a step toward God’s greater plan for restoration.
Among the underpinning themes of this message is the protection God offers Jeremiah amidst the challenges he faced. Through the deeply personal and often painful messages God was commanded to deliver, Jeremiah was met with opposition, ridicule, and threats against his life. Yet, time and again, God safeguarded him, providing strength and the courage to speak truth to power, reminding him that he was not alone.
As we reflect on this passage today, we recognize the timeless nature of God’s promises and the way He protects those who walk in faith. The verses urge us to seek Him, to call upon Him, and to find our clarity in prayer. In these moments of seeking, we find not only guidance but also the assurance of divine protection. As God was with Jeremiah, protecting him as he delivered vital messages during challenging times, so too does He protect and guide us in our own journeys. Amen.

At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**The Lord Had A Change Of Heart**
In Babylon’s shadow, a message takes flight,
A promise from heaven, dispelling the night.
“Plans for your future, a hope to uphold,
Not for your ruin, but a story retold.
Through exile you wander, in trials you groan,
Yet I hear every whisper, you’re never alone.
Seek the peace of the city, let your hearts intertwine,
For in its flourishing, your hope will be Mine.
Plant seeds of revival, build homes to reside,
Let love be the anchor, and faith be your guide.
For years may drag slowly, your hearts may be weary,
But trust in My timing, for I see your eternal journey.
When you seek Me with fervor, in prayer and in song,
You’ll find Me, you’ll know Me, I’ve loved you all along.
A covenant made, with a heart that perceives,
In the depth of despair, it’s My promise you’ll weave.
Though visions may falter, and dreams drift away,
Remember, My child, in the dark, there’s a way.
For I know the plans I have set in your path—
A future, a hope, with grace in My wrath. Amen.
