The Gospel of Matthew Chapter 11 Verse 25 thru 30

25 At that time Jesus said in reply, “I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike. 26 Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will. 27 All things have been handed over to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him. 28 “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.”

In Matthew 11:25-30, we encounter a profound invitation from Jesus, who emphasizes the value of a childlike heart in our journey of faith. He opens with a prayer of gratitude, acknowledging that revelation of the kingdom’s truths is often hidden from the wise and learned, yet revealed to the little ones. This speaks volumes about the posture we must adopt in our walk with God—one of humility, trust, and a willingness to learn.

When I embraced a childlike attitude towards God’s Word, my life transformed in remarkable ways. Approaching Scripture with curiosity and simplicity allowed the mysteries of the kingdom to unfold before me in ways I had never imagined. The teachings of Jesus became not just words on a page but vibrant truths that penetrated my heart, offering guidance, comfort, and deep wisdom.

As I practiced daily devotion and meditation on Scripture, I found immense joy in sharing the insights I received with those around me, regardless of the setting—a coffee shop, a family gathering, or even a casual encounter. The lessons became more than just personal revelations; they became a communal gift. I witnessed firsthand how embracing a childlike understanding spurred authentic conversations that brought hope and encouragement to others.

Jesus invites us all to come to Him, promising rest for our weary souls. His yoke is easy, and His burden is light. In surrendering our need to have all the answers and leaning into His guidance, we discover not only the depths of spiritual truth but also the joy of sharing it. Together, let us embrace that childlike faith and join in the beautiful task of revealing God’s love and wisdom to the world. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Such Has Been Your Gracious Will**

In quiet moments, wisdom’s call,

A gentle voice, inviting all.

“Come to me, the weary heart,

In my embrace, find your part.

Hidden truths from the wise concealed,

To simple souls, their hearts revealed.

For in the childlike, grace abounds,

In humble trust, true peace is found.

Take my yoke, so light and kind,

In shared burdens, solace bind.

For I am meek, and in me, rest—

Your wearied soul, forever blessed.

With every step, let burdens cease,

In faith’s embrace, discover peace.

For in His arms, we find our way,

A loving guide, both night and day.

So come, weary ones, lay down your strife,

In the beauty of His love, find true life.

For every longing, every single plea,

Is met in Him—our hope, our need. Amen.
