The 2nd Letter of Timothy Chapter 3 Verse 10 thru 17
10 You have followed my teaching, way of life, purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, 11 persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra, persecutions that I endured. Yet from all these things the Lord delivered me. 12 In fact, all who want to live religiously in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. 13 But wicked people and charlatans will go from bad to worse, deceivers and deceived. 14 But you, remain faithful to what you have learned and believed, because you know from whom you learned it, 15 and that from infancy you have known [the] sacred scriptures, which are capable of giving you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 so that one who belongs to God may be competent, equipped for every good work.
In 2 Timothy 3:10-17, the Apostle Paul emphasizes the importance of Scripture in the life of a believer. Paul highlights his own example, reminding Timothy of his teachings, conduct, and purpose, which are all rooted in the integrity of the Scriptures. The passage underscores the value of consistency in daily living according to God’s Word, reinforcing the idea that righteousness is cultivated through this ongoing engagement with Scripture.
A critical aspect of this text is the assurance that all Scripture is “breathed out by God” and is profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16). This divine inspiration equips believers to become “complete” and prepared for every good work (2 Timothy 3:17). Such completeness is not merely a passive attainment; it requires active participation in the daily study and application of God’s teachings. By doing so, believers fortify their hearts and minds against the prevailing influences of the world, effectively preparing themselves to refute those who stray from the truth.
In an age rife with skepticism and conflicting ideologies, grounding oneself in the Scriptures provides a powerful tool for discerning truth from falsehood. Regular engagement with the Word nurtures faith and cultivates a Christlike character that radiates righteousness. As believers conduct their daily lives immersed in biblical teachings, they grow in their ability to articulate and uphold their faith, ensuring they can stand firm in the face of opposition.
Let us remind ourselves daily of the transformative power of Scripture. Through diligent study and application, we not only reinforce our own righteousness but also become steadfast witnesses to those around us, ready to lovingly refute the doubts that challenge our faith. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**All Scripture Is Inspired By God**
In days of trials, shadows cast,
A guide remains, both strong and vast.
To Timothy, a heart so true,
The words of wisdom He imbued.
You’ve followed closely, embraced the call,
In teaching and life, you stand tall.
Through persecutions, by grace upheld,
A faithful journey, your heart compelled.
For all who strive in truth’s embrace,
Will face the storms, the trials we face.
Yet scriptures breathe, a sacred light,
To guide our steps through darkest night.
For every lesson, every word,
In faith’s foundation, our spirits stirred.
All Scripture’s breathed, inspired, divine,
To shape our hearts, in love entwine.
With reproof and correction, it gently leads,
In righteousness, it plants the seeds.
Equipped for service, we’ll boldly stand,
With holy purpose, we’ll walk this land.
So cherish Scipture’s truth, let it take root,
In every season, it bears fruit.
With faith unshakeable, in love’s embrace,
We’ll shine His light, our Savior’s grace. Amen.
