05-27-2026 1 Peter 1 V1725 The Word Of The Lord Remains Forever
The 1st Letter of Peter Chapter 1 Verse 17 thru 25
17 Now if you invoke as Father him who judges impartially according to each one’s works, conduct yourselves with reverence during the time of your sojourning, 18 realizing that you were ransomed from your futile conduct, handed on by your ancestors, not with perishable things like silver or gold 19 but with the precious blood of Christ as of a spotless unblemished lamb. 20 He was known before the foundation of the world but revealed in the final time for you, 21 who through him believe in God who raised him from the dead and gave him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God. 22 Since you have purified yourselves by obedience to the truth for sincere mutual love, love one another intensely from a [pure] heart. 23 You have been born anew, not from perishable but from imperishable seed, through the living and abiding word of God, 24 for: “All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like the flower of the field; the grass withers, and the flower wilts; 25 but the word of the Lord remains forever.” This is the word that has been proclaimed to you.
In 1 Peter 1:17-25, the Apostle Peter offers a profound reminder of our faith and hope in God, emphasizing the transformative power of the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He begins by calling believers to live with reverence, acknowledging God as our impartial Judge who sees beyond outward appearances and knows the depths of our hearts. This awareness should inspire us to conduct our lives in holiness, reflecting the character of the Father who called us.
Peter emphasizes the incredible price of our redemption, noting that we were not ransomed with perishable things like silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. This sacrifice signifies that our faith is rooted not in mere tradition or human effort, but in the grace and love of God manifested through Jesus. Through His resurrection, God has given us new life and hope, allowing us to overcome sin and despair.
Verse 21 beautifully encapsulates this message: “Through Him you believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and glorified Him, and so your faith and hope are in God.” Our faith is anchored in the reality of the resurrection, a powerful affirmation that death has been defeated, and sin no longer holds sway over us. This hope is not fleeting; it is eternal and steadfast, reminding us that we are cherished by our Creator, who offers us grace and forgiveness.
As we navigate our daily lives, let us hold fast to this hope, encouraging one another to remember that our identity is found in the risen Christ. Our sins are overcome; our pasts do not define us. By believing in the Father who raised Jesus from the dead, we are assured of our victory and new life in Him. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**The Word Of The Lord Remains Forever**
In reverent fear, we stride the path,
As pilgrims bound for distant lands,
With hearts attuned to holiness,
In grace that molds, like God’s own hands.
We’re heirs of life, not bought with gold,
But by the Lamb, pure and untamed,
Redeemed from vain and empty ways,
In love, His name forever claimed.
The Word of God, like seed, is sown,
In hearts of flesh where faith may grow,
Cleansed by His promise, standing firm,
In truth that shines, a steady glow.
For all is like the fleeting grass,
Its glory here, then fades away,
But the word of Christ endures through time,
A light to guide, both night and day.
So let us love, and let us stand,
With fervent hearts, in unity,
For born anew, we rise as one,
Proclaiming hope and clarity.
With eyes on Him, our Savior dear,
We walk in grace, His reign embraced,
In every word, His truth drawn near,
Life found in love, eternally traced. Amen.
