05-25-2026 Acts 1 V1214 Mary The Mother Of Jesus
The Acts of the Apostles Chapter 1 Verse 12 thru 14
12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a sabbath day’s journey away. 13 When they entered the city they went to the upper room where they were staying, Peter and John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James son of Alphaeus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James. 14 All these devoted themselves with one accord to prayer, together with some women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and his brothers.
Happy Memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church. On this special day, as we commemorate the memorial of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, we reflect upon the profound significance of Acts 1:12-14. These verses illuminate a pivotal moment in the early days of the Church following the Ascension of Jesus. After witnessing His return to the Father, the apostles, filled with wonder and uncertainty, gathered in the Upper Room in prayer and contemplation. Among them stood Mary, Jesus’s mother, a figure of unwavering faith and strength.
In these verses, we see the apostles returning to Jerusalem, reminding us of the promise that Jesus made about sending the Holy Spirit. This moment highlights not just the unity and perseverance of the early Church, but also the important role that Mary played in nurturing and guiding the apostles in their mission. As they devoted themselves to prayer, they were not just waiting but preparing, and Mary was at the center of that community, embodying a spirit of faithfulness and trust in God’s plan.
Today, we celebrate Mary as the Mother of the Church, emphasizing her integral role in the life of the early Christian community and her continuing presence in the Church today. She is a model for all believers, reflecting a deep commitment to faith and service. In honoring her, we remember that she is not only the mother of Jesus but also spiritually nurtures each one of us as members of Christ’s body. This feast calls us to embrace Mary’s example of prayer and discipleship, consistently turning to her intercession as we strive to live out our faith in love and unity. Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with the blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary mother of God pray for us sinners now and that the hour of our death amen. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

Ephesians 6:17-20
05-25-2026 Acts 1 V1214
**Mary The Mother Of Jesus**
In the quiet, sacred space, they trod,
To the upper room, hearts lifted to God,
A gathering of hope, a tapestry spun,
With Mary among them, blessed Mother of the Son.
In the shadows of fear, amidst whispers of doubt,
She held the essence of faith, a flame flickering out,
Her heart, a cradle for promises made,
In the company of followers, together they prayed.
From the dawn of the morn when the angel had come,
To the quiet of dusk, she knew what was begun,
With the weight of the world resting light on her brow,
She sought strength in communion, in prayer’s sacred vow.
There, in the circle, they shared their own strife,
United in hope, embracing new life,
Together they gathered, with Mary in mind,
In the stillness they found the peace of the kind.
With her heart like a vessel, she held them all near,
A bond woven deep through each challenge and fear,
In the whispers of prayer, the spirit drew near,
As they waited for power, with purpose sincere.
Oh, Mother of mercy, your presence was grace,
In the midst of confusion, you anchored the place,
As they prayed for the Spirit, in faith they stood tall,
Through the light of your courage, they answered the call.
And so in that moment, the hearts intertwined,
With Mary, the faithful, their spirits aligned,
In the tales of the faithful, her love is revealed,
A mother, a beacon, the promise unsealed. Amen.
