Find the strength to overcome sin’s enticing fallacy relishing not the false tongue.

So we are ambassadors for Christ, as if God were appealing through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake He made Him to be sin who did not know sin, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. 2nd Corinthians 5:20-21

You have heard that it was said to your ancestors, ‘Do not take a false oath, but make good to the LORD all that you vow.’ Let your ‘Yes’ mean ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No’ mean ‘No.’ Anything more is from the Evil One. Matthew 5:33, 37

Second Corinthians 5:14-21, Psalm 103 & Matthew 5:33-37

The Truth seems hard to understand even in the midst of hearing a good sermon or listening to our president speak of the daily activities our great country exploits in every corner of the world. Many of us took lying to a new plane by living a double life seeking rewards of lust and addiction speaking only of the fantasy we lived until every story we ever ran from caught us from behind bringing us to our knees. We must be not afraid of telling it like it is relishing the confession to overcome the sin. We seem to forget we are to reconciled to God for the sake of He Who knew sin not taking on the sin of the world.

The world is full of lies and deceit for personal gain as well as private endeavors allowing our personal desires to come across in each step we take for the thoughts and feelings of satisfaction or the joy of being held. We, the surrendered people of Christ, are given the ability to “become the righteousness of God in Him.” Here, we find the strength to overcome sin’s enticing fallacy relishing not the false tongue or the soft touch of another person’s sinful lust but the Word of God Living and Breathing from the Love Christ instilled in the world. “Anything more is from the Evil One.” Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray to speak Your Truth in every aspect of our lives not running from lies but instilling Your Word by our love of Your Son. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. Greg Bishop has our constant prayers. Precious Blood Novena day four of special intentions. LORD from Psalm 31:6, 19-20 I chant- “Into your hands I commend my spirit; You will redeem me, LORD, God of Truth. Strike dumb their lying lips, which speak arrogantly against the righteous in contempt and scorn. How great is Your goodness, LORD, stored up for those who fear You.” In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Jesus shared history in Truth
His Disciples heard of ancestral proof
False Oath take not as a lofty loot
Vow to God the Oath of youth

The youth of a baby knows not the lie
They only ask for attention as they cry
It is men and women seeking blame
Instead of sharing in the weakness of pain

Swear not by the lips God gave all
Surely not by heaven God’s Throne so tall
Surely not by earth His Footstool to call
Jerusalem not by the Great King’s sprawl

Swear not by the head lying and unwed
Not a hair will turn black or white from what you dread
Always say yes from the heart meaning yes you led
Say no from the heart when lies try to embed
