You be peace
The Gospel of John 20 19 thru 23
19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the doors were locked, where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.” 20 When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. 21 [Jesus] said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” 22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the holy Spirit. 23 Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.”
I think most of us will admit that being at peace all the time is the most difficult task to accomplish. You find situations in every day life that make you angry and therefore you react with disgust usually using words that are unhealthy that lead to other sins of repulse. The peace of Jesus surpasses all understanding and allows even the deepest of pain to be relieved. It is the feeling of living redeemed allowing Jesus to be everything your life offers in love, faith and hope of living his mercy. There is a difficulty in understanding what Jesus meant if you are and unbeliever when he said, “Receive the Holy Spirit whose sin you forgive are forgiven them and whose sins you retain are retained.”
It’s difficult to understand in many ways because the center of being a sinner are the emotions that keep you in unbelief. There are the ones who don’t believe where we have no choice but to retain the sins they accomplish in the name of some other false God. Jesus wants this peace to be with us always and he wants us to forgive anyone for anything once you understand his peace he will look at the sinner as the one who shares mercy knowing their plate is full of the world and unable to see what we enjoy daily as the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ nourished filled in his peace redeemed. Amen.

Locked doors week day first
Disciples gathers Jews fear lurked
You be peace Jesus suddenly appeared
Hands and side showing love they all revered
Seeing Him rejoicing took place
You be peace again Jesus shared as His grace
You sending am I soon you will taste
By the Spirit Holy receive as He blew in their face
Forgive you sins all
They are forgiven all
Retain sins all retained
Sins blame all retained
