Universal Utterings for 2-8-2014

Give your servant, therefore, a listening heart to judge your people and to distinguish between good and evil. For who is able to give judgment for this vast people of yours?” The Lord was pleased by Solomon’s request. So God said to him: Because you asked for this—you did not ask for a long life for yourself, nor for riches, nor for the life of your enemies—but you asked for discernment to know what is right. First Kings 3:9-12

When He disembarked and saw the vast crowd, His heart was moved with pity for them, for they were like sheep without a shepherd; and He began to teach them many things. Mark 6:34

First Kings 3:4-13, Psalm 146 & Mark 6:30-34

Until we learn to feed off God and God alone, we will never place Him first searching for success in self yet still willing to ask for help in half-hearted prayers. The type of prayer that sounds like an “I want fest” beginning often with the words “I want” over-and-over again; “I want it all I want it all I want it all.” We forget to say, “Dear God, I pray for faith to share life in Truth. I pray for hope to know how to trust only His Truth. I pray for love to listen and abide in charity.” We forget to close all prayers with, “In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.” By example we must show Jesus is the Way and the Light to understand Christ’s pity of peace. We must invoke His Sweet Name in what we begin and we close conceding life’s chapters to Truth permitted never found for God is Truth in everything something not we search for but Eternally present resulting in life. Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray to ask prayers of guidance living Your Will of Truth. Novena prayers day five for the soul of Gerry Shugrue and her husband Pat’s peace. Novena prayers day eight for WPRG Radio International as I begin broadcasting my love of His Word on an international radio station. Novena prayers day nine for the St Louis Emmaus attendees. Constant prayers for TD. Greg Bishop has our never-ending prayers. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. LORD from Psalm 146:8b, I chant, “The LORD raises up those who are bowed down; the LORD loves the righteous.” In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

I am surrendered in Christ,

Wise so heart understanding Solomon knelt– First Kings 3:4-13

Solomon was the son of a king

David his father blessed him to be

The ruler to succeed all others

On the high place he’d show God his honor

Gibeon was renowned for place so high

Offerings of trust a thousand to abide

Dreaming with Truth speaking to confide

With God asking for anything He wouldn’t deny

Solomon blessed God for the favor of David

His father ruled well behaving with respect

Towards God in justice heart upright connects

Solomon as son who learned from the best

As a youth Solomon wanted not riches but understanding

How to act and be not too demanding

How to know wrong from right withstanding

Judging people by wisdom granting forgiveness commanding

God heard his request of wisdom not wealth

Impressed by his zealous love of life not self

Giving all Solomon asked wisdom obviously felt

Wise so heart understanding Solomon knelt
