Believe in God devoting themselves to good works.

We ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, deluded, slaves to various desires and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful ourselves and hating one another. Titus 3:3

Titus 3:1-7, Psalm 23 & Luke 17:11-19

The thoughtless acts of disrespects we lived not only to others but ourselves seemingly passed along without notice or worry until the day we too found God’s love more irresistible than the life we led in sorrow, silliness and sin. We would run until we were out of breath but slither back into the pain we cause ourselves as well as those closest to us before realizing we were chasing our tail like a dog on a hot Sunday afternoon. Our pleasures are short lived taking away the Truth God instills in all humanity to live in Communion with His love for order, organization and obligation to each other as Children of God.

 “This saying is trustworthy:

Advice to Titus. I want you to insist on these points, that those who have believed in God be careful to devote themselves to good works; these are excellent and beneficial to others. Avoid foolish arguments, genealogies, rivalries, and quarrels about the law, for they are useless and futile. After a first and second warning, break off contact with a heretic, realizing that such a person is perverted and sinful and stands self-condemned.” Titus 3:8-11

Let us pray: Dear LORD, we pray to devote ourselves to good works. We pray for guidance to keep us away from heretics. We pray in Christ’s Risen Name indeed. Amen.

Grace of Eternal Life our need– Titus 3:1-7

We must remind

The lost in kind

Obedient to find

Enterprise the mind

No one to slander

Considerate to gander

Graciousness we hand her

Wisdom we fan her

Once foolish slaves

Now we learn to behave

Ridding the deluded games

Pleasure in God to remain

No more hate for another

Ourselves included to smother

Kindness and generous lover

Of God our Savior our Brother

Not by our righteous deeds

His mercy granted by love He bleeds

To wash us in Rebirth to concede

Grace of Eternal Life our need
