THE GOSPEL OF JOHN CHAPTER ONE 24 THRU 28
24 Some Pharisees were also sent. 25 They asked him, “Why then do you baptize if you are not the Messiah or Elijah or the Prophet?” 26 John answered them, “I baptize with water;* but there is one among you whom you do not recognize, 27 the one who is coming after me, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to untie.” 28 This happened in Bethany across the Jordan, where John was baptizing.
You know what it means to be sent if you listen to your preacher every weekend. Or maybe you hear it in your friends their journey of Love, hope and faith searching to see a life of charity. When I first began my blog some 12 years ago or more, I would write in some of the most flamboyant ways I could possibly try and conjure. Yet over the years I began to feel what Christ anointed all of his followers with after he had risen from the dead blowing his spirit across the nostril’s fisherman, tax collectors and thieves anointing a life that sometimes can feel very very alone. The spirit comes all the time he doesn’t cease being in one person or another God is God and if you don’t understand that he is Jesus in the flesh in the Spirit that drives your soul to live unafraid where the flamboyant style began to write about life’s journey along heavens highway is in eternally filled with potholes of need.
As many of you know, after writing for 10 years, I took a step back to end the constant rat race of my birth city grown too large. I wanted quiet this need where silence speaks volumes of Gods Word and allows you to step over the holes supposedly dug by some sort of pot. As a poet, I think about rhyme all the time often reflecting in this Spirit-led journey where laughter and righteousness go hand-n-hand. I look to celebrate in the spirit all the time and I can find myself awakening from journeys unknown as tears drip off the end of my beard and seems to make a little pee pee stain on my pants.
Which I laugh aloud celebrating this wonder of God feeling unworthy of this constant Divine assistance where hopeful desires of living faithful actions of love sweat from my eyes. I am loud and will never be anything but He Who is larger than Life and sustain all things for His good to be not afraid to see one cry especially before the magnificence of Jesus. The church teaches us to remember tradition as the glory of God overcoming man’s sins by the charity we all unknowingly seek but conscious of needing His embrace ourselves.
We all want to give and receive this feeling and my spirit cannot be dampened by bitter adjudicating people void of the spirit searching for salutations instead of salvation. Ask for prayer and remind them to seek Him only. I remind myself living with my wife and sharing the love of Jesus together is not easy if you make it hard and hard can be so many different things. My wife and I remind each other constantly that it is between God and you when are a part but as One when together where charity can be lived in every moment as we like to say God First and all else will fall into place. Amen. Status quo is not a performance it’s truly living in the spirit of Christ. Amen.
In times past, I would seek to share His Word in for five minutes or less to help us all wake in the Spirit and then following His Light as a guide a beacon if you will that others won’t see unless the spirit is being shared in Him. I do this to make it easy for us to find some spirit early if so desired or listen to detail of highways leading to heavens door. Amen.
Join us in our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Prayer intentions. Silence for the prayers of others. Holy Mother Church. In Jesus Precious Blood in His Name we pray. Amen.
I am a poet obedient to Christ,
