Truth telling foolish not

2ND CORINTHIANS CHAPTER 12 SIX THRU TEN

6 Although if I should wish to boast, I would not be foolish, for I would be telling the truth. But I refrain, so that no one may think more of me than what he sees in me or hears from me 7 because of the abundance of the revelations. Therefore, that I might not become too elated, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, an angel of Satan, to beat me, to keep me from being too elated. 8 Three times I begged the Lord about this, that it might leave me, 9 but he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” I will rather boast most gladly of my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may dwell with me. 10 Therefore, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and constraints, for the sake of Christ; for when I am weak, then I am strong.

Paul makes it easy to understand that which means boasting in Christ you come to an understanding elated in being forgiven yet stuck with the thorn win this celebration was too close to Satan’s beating arm of confusion. Paul’s revelations were exacted in weakness finding sufficient grace by the power in perfect weakness. We have some shirts that speak of this Power that perfects the ability to survive without question even though we continue to deny. It is not the constraints, persecutions or hardships that frighten me the most in life. No. It is the feeling I get when I do nothing in Christ storing seclusion gaining the feeling of lost hope unable to recant an intrusive Satan angel of the dark.

I know, we all experience this feeling no matter the circumstance no matter the trauma no matter the guilt. We can all look back and see something in us we’re not proud of or we felt hopeless too soon giving less of what God asks prayer when finding this dissolution or demise. Take for instance the feeling of hopelessness when your own child becomes involved in accident that brings him back from the brink of death. Such was my wife, Toni, looking for answers finding it in the word of God that I translate today into poetry. “My grace is sufficient for you for power is made perfect in weakness.” We can beg the Lord to remove our pain when he asks us to pray where strength it is we will regain. Amen.

Join us in our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and Rose for me. Prayer intentions. IN Jesus Name. Amen.

I am a poet obedient to Christ,
