Trouble the Teacher in prayer.

“Your daughter has died; why trouble the Teacher any longer?”  Matthew 5:35c

Wisdom 1:13-15; 2:23-24 Psalm 30, 2 Corinthians 8:7, 9, 13-15 & Mark 5:21-43

The thought of giving up on anything life has to offer lacks the faith God instills in your soul to live for His Purpose. We shadow the love God created us in to brush away the fog of every adversity or trial. We trouble the teacher in prayer for He delivers miracles in the midst of every trial or tribulation. This feeling is not boisterous, prideful living or an “I told you so” type of delivery, it simply means living God’s Will with passion, poise and permanence striving to share as much as enjoy the Purpose God calls mankind to fulfill.

I overheard someone say my stepson Julian might not make it as my wife and I prayed on our knees with hands held high as the serious life-saving skills of nurses and doctors worked to sustain his life brought back by the paddles of electric juice. We prayed aloud our acceptance of His Divine Will asking for mercy to see His creation smile another day. We believed what Jesus said to the synagogue official, “Do not be afraid; just have faith.” He took the child by the hand and said to her, “Talitha koum,” which means, “Little girl, I say to you, arise!” The girl, a child of twelve, arose immediately and walked around.” Mark 5:36b, 41-42

We believed Julian would rise but embrace the fright of losing Him to God’s Eternal Kingdom. We acknowledge this not as giving up but rather pursuing the Truth of living God’s Will. In community, we have found countless prayers of support and encouragement, love and laughter, peace and purpose much of the same I feel for each of you. One of these people wrote a piece about living life in a beautiful way I have titled “LORD, oh LORD.” I pray it will touch your heart as it has us. We can’t give up on God’s Will, can we? We must live for Him He Who gives us life. Amen.

Dear God, we pray today we never give up on anything Your Will guides us to live. We pray Julian will survive this critical stage in his recovery. We pray for the surgical work left to be done to help him heal. We pray the unknown broken bones are minor and heal with Your Hand of Truth. We pray for us as we battle fatigue. We pray for Carlos Andres Chase-Ramirez and his intentions. I love you Brother Carlos. Prayer of thanksgiving for the Prayer Warriors across the world. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

LORD, Oh LORD-Written by Carlos Andres Chase-Ramirez (just don’t pronounce Ramirez like they do in Baltimore.. good grief…)

LORD, oh LORD of Love and Mercy,

I call in You, for I am in need,

LORD grant me the strength,

to bear the sting of the fruit,

that life is serving me.

Forsake me not in this dark hour.

Hold on to me, Oh LORD!

Remember where You once found me.

In the darkness, be my compass, be my star,

guide me through, Oh LORD, one more time.

LORD I once laid broken,

a shell of a man,

believing not in myself,

trusting no creature, no man.

Blessed Father, and then you came,

from the gutters of the world, LORD, You rescued me,

and my life before You I laid.

You rose me LORD from the shadows,

You healed my bleeding wounds,

You showered me with Your Mercy,

so I could be born anew.

LORD oh LORD, my son here now lays,

clinging to the Life You so graciously gave.

Remember oh LORD, the call of Your Son,

whom rose from the dead to save this sinners life.

And as Your Son rose, oh LORD,

and as you have risen me,

Rise my son, Holy Father,

bestow upon him the blessings you have given me.

I give You all Father,

In You I trust,

LORD, for Your glory, I hand to You my son.

Be it your will Father,

Just one word,

Let my son’s life be,

a living testimony,

to the Power of Your Word and Works.

And LORD, oh LORD,

when in Your time my son shall speak,

I shall cry out to You,

and sing of Your praises to the proud

and to the meek.

And LORD, oh LORD,

when in your time my son shall walk,

LORD to the world I shall serve,

as witness to your flock.

Wherever the road leads oh LORD,

Let Your Will be done forevermore.

Let our hearts rejoice and praise

The wondrous glory of our God,

forever and one day more.

My life, is Yours!

My heart is Yours!

My soul is Yours!

Your will is good, Oh LORD, Your will is good.
