This is the one about whom it is written: ‘Behold, I am sending My messenger ahead of you; he will prepare your way before you.’ Amen, I say to you, among those born of women there has been none greater than John the Baptist; yet the least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he. Matthew 11:10-11

The least is greatest in Heaven by Truth.

Isaiah 41:13-20, Psalm 145 & Matthew 11:10-15

Why would John the Baptist be lower than the least in Heaven? A seemingly confusing statement that should say something like: “There is none greater than John the Baptist for the least in Heaven inspires to be just like him.” Right? I mean you’d think Jesus would refer to HIS messenger differently but here what Jesus did was make us more aware of just how much a privilege it is to be in the Kingdom of Heaven for the least who have it have more than anyone who doesn’t.

Jesus also was in the midst of rebuking John’s unbelief by even sending someone to ask from his jail cell if He is or He isn’t the One the Jews had been waiting for to come. Not since Malachi had Israel had a prophet to seek counsel in as they awaited the fulfillment of or to live out the Savior’s coming as described by prophets of old. Somewhere in the midst of 333BC to 444BC Malachi was writing his love of God turned prophesy so Israel surely had been waiting for some time.

While Jesus readily admits John is a Prophet, in Matthew 11:4-6 Jesus sends the messenger back with His message of fulfillment seemingly to ask, “Haven’t My miracles been enough.” “Go and tell John what you hear and see: the blind regain their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have the Good News proclaimed to them. And blessed is the one who takes no offense at Me.” John may have wanted and expected fire and brimstone from “the One Who is to come” but Jesus institutes love to overcome all evil something we live for today. Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear God, we pray today to live for the privilege of entering the Kingdom of Heaven. We pray day eight of a Novena for John Martin’s healing and peace. Day 1 of Julian’s Healing Surgery Novena, update to follow. Praying for Greg Bishop. We are free in Christ LORD and we thank You. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Romans 8:28 Genesis 19:26

Lot’s wife looked back to be salt to this day– Genesis 19

The Two Angels entered Sodom in the night

Lot took them to where he thought was out of sight

The townsmen came demanding they come out to play

Derelicts of sinful lust decapitated their stay

Lot offered the misfits his daughter if they must

As the Angels pulled him back in blinding them in dust

As bright as the morning fire of God’s brimstone fuss

Blinding the entrance to the home he’s made of Trust

Send your family on their way

Do not look back consequence to pay

Lot’s wife looked back to be salt to this day

A pillar she stood to end her stay

As Abraham watched from far away

Lot was spared settling in the forest hill hay

For Abraham witnessed the fire and brimstone that day

Life was lonely in the hills they stay

The daughters wanted to preserve their father’s name
Hatching a plan to make him drunk to gain same

Both succeeding bringing forth two boys to gain

Moab and Ben-Ammi created Moabites and Bene-Ammon to sustain
