Wig’s Word of God Today 12-12-2011

The world has difficulty recognizing God’s Truth more so when it comes with extraordinary events and evidence of it immaculate ability to give overwhelming evidence. Sure, many of the world believe God sent His Only Son to die for sins of the world curing people along the way of every known illness or infirmity but people have always had a hard time believing anything when it comes to God’s grace over the woman who became “the handmaid of the LORD.”
Today there is a celebration worldwide because the mother of Jesus chose to show herself to a poor simple God-fearing man who had been converted to Christianity in Mexico after the liberation by Hernando Cortez from the idolatry and human sacrifice of the Aztecs. Few converted to Christianity in the first 10 years after Cortez’s liberation but all of this changed when the Mother of God better known as the “Lady of Guadalupe” appeared to Juan Diego on a hill named Tepeyac. Over nine million Aztecs were baptized and accepted Jesus as their LORD and Savior after the appearance of the Mother of God.
The amazing thing about this apparition is the lady gave Juan Diego flowers to pick and give to the bishop that in no way could have grown there in winter December month. As importantly, Diego wrapped them in his cloak called a tilma made of cactus fibers and upon opening the cloak to give them to the bishop revealing the gorgeous, sweet scented flowers suddenly there appeared on the face of the tilma a precious image of the Mother of God.
The Image of Our Lady that appeared on the tilma, which can still be seen in Mexico City today, is truly miraculous and has been the wonder of scientists for hundreds of years. All, after exhaustive investigation with sophisticated analytic detectors, have concluded that the work is beyond the power of men to produce. The Image still retains its original colors, even though it was unprotected by
any covering during the first 100 years of veneration.
The bluish-green color of Our Lady’s mantle is unique. It seems to be made of an unearthly shade that as yet no artist has been able exactly to match. Just as astonishing is the fact that only the seam still holds the tilma together. The law of gravity does not allow a single flimsy cotton thread to bind two heavier materials of cloth for more than ten years, much less four hundred and fifty! The world has truly seen miracle after miracle by God through His handmade and whether you believe it or not the miraculous events are the reasons why those who believe still visit the site of the original apparition today.
By God, His Son and His Spirit we pray to see the miracles of Christ’s Truth in every person we meet. We pray for Tim constantly. We pray for every child and parent. We pray for Bob and Mary Carter. We pray for each other- our families and friends. We pray for Prayer Point and the needs of the USA. We pray for Aaron Kuehne. We pray for Michael who is looking for work in ministry. We pray for LIFE FM. We pray for the Spirit to accept, bravery in God to change and intelligence of Christ’s Truth to know. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

The poor farmer walked six miles one way
To receive the Body and Blood of Christ each day
For six years he had been a man truly devout
Not a stone bruise on a foot would call him out
One day he happened along the way until he heard a sweet voice
Amongst music and joy he would eventually run and report
My Diegosito come closer and please do not be afraid
I have come to ask you to help me build a chapel to pray
The music was sweeter than anything he had ever heard
Coming from the sky her voice made him feel reassured
Running to the bishop to report what he had seen
The bishop was unconvinced asking for more to believe
Diego went and asked for his evidence due
The bishop said no unless you can truly prove
She sent him for flowers on the hill in December’s freeze
Flowers of a different region he found in full bloom to please
Gathering them up he placed them in his tilma
A cactus based material adorned to fulfill her
As he placed the flowers at the bishops side
The smell from heaven truly opened their eyes
Instantly appeared the image of Mary’s face
Applied by God’s unknown miraculous fate
Now 450 years later it’s still in a perfect state
Converting Souls to know God’s Son to taste
The Lady of Guadalupe is the Miracle of God’s Grace
