Teacher and all around great guy
The Gospel of John 13 12 thru 20
12 So when he had washed their feet [and] put his garments back on and reclined at table again, he said to them, “Do you realize what I have done for you? 13 You call me ‘teacher’ and ‘master,’ and rightly so, for indeed I am. 14 If I, therefore, the master and teacher, have washed your feet, you ought to wash one another’s feet. 15 I have given you a model to follow, so that as I have done for you, you should also do. 16 Amen, amen, I say to you, no slave is greater than his master nor any messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 If you understand this, blessed are you if you do it. 18 I am not speaking of all of you. I know those whom I have chosen. But so that the scripture might be fulfilled, ‘The one who ate my food has raised his heel against me.’ 19 From now on I am telling you before it happens, so that when it happens you may believe that I AM. 20 Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever receives the one I send receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me.”
When we begin to realize that we are not a slave to anyone that we don’t want to be, our lives begin to transform into a disciple of Jesus Christ. To be a slave takes away your rights repeatedly so in the world of addiction you can’t stop making yourself a slave to what you know isn’t right and you struggle with the ability to just say no. Our focus is not to survive by impression but to survive by humility willing to share what it takes to understand how to live surrounded by love, faith and hope of life eternal. We aren’t willing to let go wallowing in the grief we once used as fool’s fuel. So God is trying to teach you today the beauty of living redeemed knowing nothing can be your slave as you live in the willingness of mercy’s gleam noticed in the smile of Truth. Do you wear one? Amen.
Join us in our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Prayers for our children Gabriel, Alexandra Wiggins Stern and Allen Thomas Wiggins and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. Silence for the prayers of others. Dressed reclining realization feet washed why
Jesus teaches His behavior model to follow
Indeed Am I Master, Teacher and all around great guy
Master’s slave greater not than the God we can’t swallow
This understand
You are blessed
Not secondhand
Done and confessed
Chosen known by Me
Fulfilling Scripture indeed
Heel raised food eaten greed
As it happens I’m telling for all to see
Belief by sight
Double amen agreed
Receiving senders of right
Me received anyone freed
My Sender completely received
