Table reclining knowledge
1 Corinthians, Chapter 8 10 thru 13
10 If someone sees you, with your knowledge, reclining at table in the temple of an idol, may not his conscience too, weak as it is, be “built up” to eat the meat sacrificed to idols? 11 Thus through your knowledge, the weak person is brought to destruction, the brother for whom Christ died. 12 When you sin in this way against your brothers and wound their consciences, weak as they are, you are sinning against Christ. 13 Therefore, if food causes my brother to sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I may not cause my brother to sin.
Paul speaks of the knowledge of Christ today asking us to understand how to implore him as the practice of living the Bible each and every day taking upon yourself the understanding that living for the world is in line with being a part of the destruction of the weakness that creates abuse. Our actions directly impact so many people that we just don’t realize until it’s too late and we find refusal instead of being ready for redemption.
Sometimes it’s easier to go along with the crowd than to turn and run in contradiction of them as God asks more of us than walking to the beat of brawling in the midst of worldly victims, God asks us to openly proclaim the prayer and practice we take upon ourselves no matter the difficulty no matter the loss Paul reminds us to share Jesus as the Salvation of living Life Eternal no matter the cost. Amen.
Join us in our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and Rose for me. Soul of my Father Earl Wiggins. IN Jesus Name. Amen.
