For the time that has passed is sufficient for doing what the (world) like(s) to do: living in debauchery, evil desires, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and wanton idolatry. They are surprised that you do not plunge into the same swamp of profligacy, and they vilify you; but they will give an account to Him who stands ready to judge the living and the dead. For this is why the Gospel was preached even to the dead that, though condemned in the flesh in human estimation, they might live in the spirit in the estimation of God. 1 Peter 4:3-6

For God formed us to be imperishable; the image of His own nature He made us. But by the envy of the devil, death entered the world, and they who are allied with him experience it. Wisdom 2:23-24

“When you have done all you have been Commanded, say, ‘We are unprofitable servants; we have done what we were obliged to do.’” Lk 17-10

Oh the world calls us all and sees no blinds of diffusion when viewed across all planes of media or entertainment as called by the villains of excess. We each want the more to take care of the less (or self) yet we fail to understand we can take care of the less with more surrender to practice instilling prayer no matter the situation with less. You will hear them “vilify you” in public while holding on to a legacy of evil desires of profligacy.

God tells us not to judge but reminds us to give example of He Who Saved the World by living as His Son asks with love, faith and hope of Charity’s Salvation; Jesus! This image in us is imperishable finding Eternal Life as “the spirit in the estimation of God.” Consider Him Who created the world in every thought rebuking the Devil as prayer living “what we were obliged to do.” Practice, Pray and Proclaim what Jesus asks us to do living with less to proclaim the Gospel of more. Amen.

So we pray, Lord help us to live with less proclaiming the Gospel of more.
