Supper Last retain its crutch
1 Corinth Chapter 11 23 thru 26
23 For I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you, that the Lord Jesus, on the night he was handed over, took bread, 24 and, after he had given thanks, broke it and said, “This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord until he comes.
There’s an old saying, “Respect where respect is due.” Here, I obviously believe that there is the need to understand the respect that we should give to the Savior that allows us to live life eternal. To respect God will give you in return that feeling of being one with him for in your heart you talk to him often as well as implementing plans where he is spoken about first allowing us an opportunity to share hope, faith and love of charity.
Paul was simply trying to explain that going to church wasn’t about trying to express one’s drunkenness and excessive eating ability while denying others who are in need creating dissension that Christ would have never been a part of. No. We have to try and remember that Christ was the Lord his knowledge is something we will never be able to grasp yet Jesus knew our frailty our ability to deny when death seems imminent so his mystery he set in place as the body and blood soul and divinity regularly nourishing the beloved by Christ Jesus giving us courage, calm and charm by moments of grace. Amen.
Join us in our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and Rose for me. Soul of my Father Earl Wiggins. IN Jesus Name. Amen.
