Subjected austerities
1 Corinthians Chapter 20 20 thru 24
25 For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26 The last enemy to be destroyed is death, 27 for “he subjected everything under his feet.” But when it says that everything has been subjected, it is clear that it excludes the one who subjected everything to him. 28 When everything is subjected to him, then the Son himself will [also] be subjected to the one who subjected everything to him, so that God may be all in all.
Humanity seems unafraid of death until it comes to their doorstep either by way of accidents or disease consuming family or friends nevertheless we see death strewed across the television waves as if it’s something we got to see especially the destruction of our aching neighbors “wishing” to see the accident which really wasn’t an accident at all but an overzealous person taking anger in driving to the limits.
Living for God First makes us see the Mystery of God as the reason death only comes to those who believe their life’s end is the final word for we believe that Christ allows us the opportunity to live forgiven and reign with him in eternity at peace. I see everything subjected to him already running the parts of the universe in such smooth audacious ways where the obvious stare of never ending hope offers us a reality of faith seen only in silence as God’s love emulates redemption we learn to surrender to. Amen.
Join us in our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and Rose for me. Soul of my Father Earl Wiggins. Help those in need Lord especially the victims of all hurricanes. IN Jesus Name. Amen.
