Still be saying quiet to the sea
Gospel of Mark Ch 4 v- 35 thru 41
35 On that day, as evening drew on, (Jesus) said to them, “Let us cross to the other side.” 36 Leaving the crowd, they took him with them in the boat just as he was. And other boats were with him. 37 A violent squall came up and waves were breaking over the boat, so that it was already filling up. 38 Jesus was in the stern, asleep on a cushion. They woke him and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” 39 He woke up, rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Quiet! Be still!”* The wind ceased and there was great calm. 40 Then he asked them, “Why are you terrified? Do you not yet have faith?” 41 They were filled with great awe and said to one another, “Who then is this whom even wind and sea obey?”
Sometimes when we take on things in life in Jesus Name we find ourselves amongst the crashing waves be it life’s mistakes we finally overcome or the beauty of grace that rescues us when seemingly we are doing an about face. With all good intentions we dive right in knowing Jesus will lead us even protect us from sin but we learn in reality it’s a choice we must concede to live in Him to win. In Him we can avoid temptation. In Him we find rescue and relief by simply placing God First in the decisions we adamantly undertake to live the Will of God. There are times when you will hear Jesus say to you, “I’m hungry can you feed me?” “I’m thirsty, will you give me a drink?” I heard Him say, “I am in prison will you visit Me?” And that took my breath away calming the seas of indecision wanting to take the Name of Jesus to the gate of society’s mistakes wanting to let then know Jesus can overtake the ugliness of wrong over right and give you peace by forgiveness that will always seem to give you flight air beneath the wings of love, faith and hope where we share His mercy and Salvation know freedom in peace. Kairos meaning God’s Special Time was the answer to be able to go and visit those who have made mistakes many of the ones we find absolutely horrible but we must remain in a nonjudgmental state as Christ calls us to be to allow grace to relate. Today I’m driving to a Leaders Training to put on the weekend of living Jesus First by Kairos in Jacksonville, Florida. Please say a prayer for me this weekend as we find His Will to lead. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty we pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. Silence for the prayers of others dealing with the war in Ukraine. In the Holy Spirit we pray our brothers in Kairos the men in blue especially a prayer for Howard Richmond and Michael Olivetti. We pray for Holy Mother Church. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Still be saying quiet to the sea**
Side other cross us said He
Crowd leaving behind
Boat Him took to free
Others boats too they’d find
Boat breaking waves from coming squall
Filling boat already fear filling kind
Stern sleeping cushion Jesus unaware of it all
Teacher they woke in perishing fear not the Divine
Upon waking winds He rebuked
Still be saying quiet to the sea
Calm great ceasing winds no reason to be spooked
Why terrified you faith have not to see
Filled with awe great everyone agreed
This is who that calms the sea indeed
Obeying winds we witnessed did concede
Jesus the Christ they all began to believe
