The Gospel of John Seven 37 thru 39

37 On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood up and exclaimed, “Let anyone who thirsts come to me and drink. 38 Whoever believes in me, as scripture says: ‘Rivers of living water^* will flow from within him.’” 39 He said this in reference to the Spirit that those who came to believe in him were to receive. There was, of course, no Spirit yet, because Jesus had not yet been glorified.

We went and visited an old friend this past week. He is dying and in hospice. No, he is not dying of the China virus but he did live a devout life. He was a Deacon in the Church and participated in many facets of Church activities including the Knights of Columbus but more importantly Church functions. He married his friends and his family and assuredly Baptized many a baby into the faith but also served at many a burial for his fellow brothers standing guard over the body as a Knight of Columbus. In death, the Spirit of God is calling us all to receive the Light of Salvation drinking His waters of life.

We went to pray with him sharing the Divine Mercy prayer and other personal intentions as he winced in pain on the bed near us. He opened his eyes a few times and we celebrated his life with love of Jesus. I’ve decided to face this fright face first. The thought of having no one to pray for others seems to make my wife and I want to act. We try and spend at least an hour with anyone in this situation and plan to continue this ministry weekly in our local parish. Please let us know if we can pray for anyone anytime anyplace and if we can visit we’ll sure make the effort to pray for the dying in person. Please advise Jesus. Amen.

Join us in our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Prayers for our son Gabriel and Allen Thomas Wiggins. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca.
