Letter to the Hebrews Six v- 7 thru 12

7 Ground that has absorbed the rain falling upon it repeatedly and brings forth crops useful to those for whom it is cultivated receives a blessing from God. 8 But if it produces thorns and thistles, it is rejected; it will soon be cursed and finally burned. 9 But we are sure in your regard, beloved, of better things related to salvation, even though we speak in this way. 10 For God is not unjust so as to overlook your work and the love you have demonstrated for his name by having served and continuing to serve the holy ones. 11 We earnestly desire each of you to demonstrate the same eagerness for the fulfillment of hope until the end, 12 so that you may not become sluggish, but imitators of those who, through faith and patience, are inheriting the promises.

I have this very discussion often. Asking how we admonish those we love without hurting their feelings or making them feel like they’ve lost out on something? My soulmate in Christ and I have been watching a lot of movies over this pandemic. Every time they use the Lords name in vain we remove the movie and destroy it. I must admit at first, I felt like I was losing out on something I wasn’t finding the ending I didn’t understand what took place at the end of the movie and somehow that made me feel like I had lost something. But what I found was peace knowing that I was observing the Law of Moses, “thou shall not take the Lords name in vain.’ Now when it happens I say a prayer in my head hoping that one day humanity will understand that they do not need to take the Lords name in vain for any reason for any situation.

As I regress into another admonishing topic; to admonish when the world says otherwise. I’m sure many of you know that you can look up companies that support Planned Parenthood. I will just give you a couple of examples of how we as a married couple approach the subject. We learned that Home Depot supports Planned Parenthood. We no longer go there. We learned that Walmart supports a gay lifestyle running gay commercials without seeing the implications to a society that frequents Walmart making them very wealthy. We no longer shop at Walmart. It takes extra effort to stand by what God asked of all of us and without this effort you can assure yourself the world will wrap you up in Sin. I know Walmart gives great employment. God never said it was going to be easy following His plan. In fact, there is suffering for every saint ever written about in the Word of God. This weeks Passion should remind us that the world will try and admonish you with threats of sanction and death but remember as Jesus said, “Today you will be in paradise” if only you’d believe. Amen.

Catechist Paragraph 2447 teaches; “The works of mercy are charitable actions by which we come to the aid of our neighbor in his spiritual and bodily necessities.242 Instructing, advising, consoling, comforting are spiritual works of mercy, as are forgiving and bearing wrongs patiently. The corporal works of mercy consist especially in feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, clothing the naked, visiting the sick and imprisoned, and burying the dead.243 Among all these, giving alms to the poor is one of the chief witnesses to fraternal charity: it is also a work of justice pleasing to God.”244 Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day. Lord give them peace in their last breath. Silence for the prayers of others. Holy Spirit and St Joseph CC & Holy Mother Church. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Speaking ways we too teach and admonish**

The Gospel absorbed Salvation brought forth

Like repeated rain absorbing ground

Cultivated God’s blessing received henceforth

Rejected thistles thorns cursed producers burned found

Unjust not is God to overlook Salvation assured regarding you

Speaking ways weo to teach and admonish

Name His demonstrated your love and works true

Ones Holy serving the provisions we find chronic

To the end of time hoping your eagerness won’t frolic

Demonstrate so none of you become sluggish

End’s fulfillment faith imitators not alcoholics

Promises inheriting patience Salvation is so harmonic
