Wig’s Word of God Today 2-21-2012
So submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you of two minds. James 4:7-8
James 4:1-10, Psalm 55 & Mark 9:30-37
The Bible teaches us to draw close to God so God doesn’t become our enemy by our love of the world instead of embracing His Truth to guide our every thought, action and deed. There is only one Real Way to resist the devil and that’s by practice, prayer and preaching. We must take steps to securely attach ourselves to God’s Word to guide our lives to a complete purification in God’s love for each of us. The Devil will flee when you rebuke him in God’s Name.
Your sinful pleasures are limited to feelings that escape you and are fleeting at best. When you embrace God’s Truth, you find the strength to submit to God’s Plan for you by your actions of repentance, humility and resistance to evil. If you are living with two minds of sin and purification, you are living in “yes” “yes” world of indecision. If you do not submit yourself to God’s Plan, then you are trying to skim demonic joys while walking the Light of Truth. “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” James 4:6
In the Holy Trinity we pray to draw near to God and resist temptation in Your Holy Name. We pray for “40 Days of Life” to close abortion clinics. We pray for the Emmaus Team in NJ. We pray for LIFE FM. We pray for all people. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Where do wars and conflicts come from?
Only passion within yourselves at best
You kill and envy but cannot obtain
You covet but do not possess
You can’t possess without asking
In asking you must ask of God
You do not receive your passions
Adulterers can’t see grace in a bod
If you love the world then God is your enemy
Lover of stuff grants you excommunication
The Grace of God will guide you to be humble
Only in His Grace will one receive satisfaction
Submission to His Truth is easy to do
Resist the Devil and he will flee from you
Cleanse your hands you sinners of heart
Those of two minds God’s love does part
Shed the sinner’s release of weeping
Let your laughter be one of mourning
Where His Truth guides your sojourning
He will exalt you by humble adorning

St. Jude, you know my mother has had a life-long, storng devotion to you. Thank you for answering her prayers for our family, ones that I am sure have helped me be the person I am today. I continue to pray for your intercession to heal her chronic pain and improve her diabetes. I also pray for the conversion of our lapsed family members. I pray for a friend’s mother and her family as they possibly say good-bye to each other, that the Lord’s will be done in her life and that she is granted a peaceful death. Thank you also for your nudge regarding my own desperate situation, which I feel more at peace with, though I continue to pray, to increase my faith and joyfully accept God’s will in my life.
