Shore the net met by Peter’s force
The Gospel of John 21 9 thru 14
9 When they climbed out on shore, they saw a charcoal fire with fish on it and bread. 10 Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish you just caught.” 11 So Simon Peter went over and dragged the net ashore full of one hundred fifty-three large fish. Even though there were so many, the net was not torn. 12 Jesus said to them, “Come, have breakfast.” And none of the disciples dared to ask him, “Who are you?” because they realized it was the Lord. 13 Jesus came over and took the bread and gave it to them, and in like manner the fish. 14 This was now the third time Jesus was revealed to his disciples after being raised from the dead.
Some could argue this was the first community breakfast for the Church to celebrate where Jesus instructed His friends now disciples of who and what to eat as the strength of the Church is revealed in the breaking of the bread. Yes, to come together as One makes us all strong similar to a spaghetti noodle by itself will break easily but tied as one will hold a grown man. Jesus reminds His disciples today of the importance of breaking bread as One in Him allowing His love, faith and hope of mercy to be revealed to the world I imagine as the only way to see peace is to live peace even when in pain. Amen.

Fish on glowing coal
Shore climb disciples know
Jesus spoke as they dragged fish from the shoal
Caught fish bring over for a show
Shore the net met by Peter’s force
Fish large fifty-three plus a hundred to implore
Species of the sea numbered perfected by John’s score
Torn not the net though so many to report
Directing Jesus breakfast have come
Dared no one to sum or shun
You are who realized the Son
Fish and bread given they’d become
Times three Jesus has appeared
Community breakfast disciples His revealed
The dead has Risen no one could conceal
Church beginning Peter would forever wield
