THE GOSPEL OF LUKE CHAPTER 16 ONE THRU FOUR

5 He called in his master’s debtors one by one. To the first he said, ‘How much do you owe my master?’ 6 He replied, ‘One hundred measures of olive oil.’ He said to him, ‘Here is your promissory note. Sit down and quickly write one for fifty.’ 7 Then to another he said, ‘And you, how much do you owe?’ He replied, ‘One hundred kors of wheat.’ He said to him, ‘Here is your promissory note; write one for eighty.’ 8 And the master commended that dishonest steward for acting prudently. “For the children of this world are more prudent in dealing with their own generation than are the children of light. Application of the Parable.*

I would tend to agree the majority of us have got our hand caught in the cookie jar pleading our case of accidental injury taking stitches above the eye as you fell off your makeshift cereal box ladder. The cookie jar never seemed higher than I was willing to climb because I always wondered more how I would simply have my own cookie jar. Once you’ve learned your lesson of the climbing of cardboard boxes, you look to the communication abilities you have and search for another method that usually included seeking out the tallest kid in the neighborhood.

I love that about my home when I was a kid. We would gather around our house daily multiple kids riding motorcycles, playing pool and comparing notes of childhood will craving to walk back through the hole of our fort usually built off the beaten path until progress took it to our own backyard where one night I would be awoken by my mother finding the rear half acre lit up like a Roman Candle at 3 AM. I often wondered who struck that match knowing it was some of the older boys who got away with their smack. Fortunately, they graduated from high school and went onto bigger and better things to burn. Actually, one of them turned out to be a police officer we’re his career has taken him to every street of his hometown he now protects.

There’s more to understanding than just stating we’ve all been caught. It’s wanting to instill the beauty of Life where love, faith and hope draw us to a wider understanding of why truth becomes the center of reality learning to commune with your generation until you become a child of light. There are so many ways to describe this feeling of wanting to give back where you don’t stop looking for what stopped us before pissing on the fire that burn downs the barriers of soul’s uniting for the reasons of right over wrong. The is the Light of Christ; wrong is erased in confessing Redemption’s delight. The world may chase you its learning to share His Light that gives you the feeling of meaning your right life is lived for something more than just ME. Amen.

Join us in our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Prayer intentions. #Novena4Ryan. In Jesus Name. Amen. Precious Blood
