The Gospel of John 18 10 thru 14
10 Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, drew it, struck the high priest’s slave, and cut off his right ear. The slave’s name was Malchus. 11 Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword into its scabbard. Shall I not drink the cup that the Father gave me?” 12 So the band of soldiers, the tribune, and the Jewish guards seized Jesus, bound him, 13 and brought him to Annas first. He was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, who was high priest that year. 14 It was Caiaphas who had counseled the Jews that it was better that one man should die rather than the people.
There’s no doubt that many of us jump the gun when it comes to understanding each and every situation no matter what the call may be a discussion with your spouse as much as living the word of God the way that you see. Because sight is important we want to touch and feel but at the same time we must trust with zeal a Jesus to take care of all situations no matter what. Jesus will help you through by telling the storm your God is mightier than any hurricane around because he forms the winds as much as the waves that happened from these winds and allows such devastation yet we still call on this God as the one and only God with Salvation. Amen. We find that salvation means many different things to different people determining what to say and when to say it but the spirit of our Lord lives constantly as a relationship growing with your own spouse.
We must begin to see that the Lord is everything in our lives replacing lost relationships as much as lost ways of life because he can heal and allow the opportunity for you understand what each situation needs in love, faith and hope of mercy. Just as Peter took his sword and chopped the ear straight off the slave we too act emotionally many times when it comes to people in our lives that mean everything to us yet we still choose to display sometimes a behavior ungodly by jumping the gun when wanting to defend your desires, destinations and determinations of destiny. When we make it our own we become afraid but when we make it with Jesus we learn to sheathe our sword coming to the realization of forgiveness even foretold by a denial we will soon learn about that happened three times we’re only a crowing cock gave way too destiny divine. This is where Mercy lies in the ability to say you’re sorry and live up to the part of sharing God in all things by your practice, prayer and proclamation of living God first.
We all learn to say we are sorry in so many different situations that all the books in the world could not hold what the Lord can equal in mercy. To say you’re sorry allows love to work its destiny shaping face that is never wavering because it trusts in the Lord in all things. This is the hope we live each and every day celebrating 12 years of marriage where a union in Christ has been formed. Our Lord tells us how to live and encourages our forgiveness to be forthcoming in every situation and it is my prayer that today I may be forgiven and understood as someone who wants the best in all for everything you live Toni and together in forgiveness we will be a witness to His Everlasting Ways. Amen.
