Sailing Sleeping Sin Soother

THE GOSPEL OF LUKE CHAPTER 8 22 THRU 25

22 One day he got into a boat with his disciples and said to them, “Let us cross to the other side of the lake.” So they set sail, 23 and while they were sailing he fell asleep. A squall blew over the lake, and they were taking in water and were in danger. 24 They came and woke him saying, “Master, master, we are perishing!” He awakened, rebuked the wind and the waves, and they subsided and there was a calm. 25 Then he asked them, “Where is your faith?” But they were filled with awe and amazed and said to one another, “Who then is this, who commands even the winds and the sea, and they obey him?”

We never see what God grasps around us stabilizing the environment we take for granted each and every day. We are afraid to get in the boat and let the sail fly
trusting a master that many may say is invisible. I would argue that our Lord provides a surety seen in our decisions the little life needs that continues to lick our hands comfort our beings leaving emotions heard in the alarms built in the living organisms around us once trees and plants turned into excess God intended for humanity to satisfy the charity given or acknowledged to help thy neighbor content as one would like to receive.

Jesus being awakened in the boat brings memories of my naval days watching with closed eyes the sites of seas that soothed, serenaded and searched my soul as the wind blows foam in my face by our Invisible? eternity created denied and blasphemed. I wasn’t schooled in the journey others walked sunk in the world drowning in my being of shyness complete.

God was not listening I thought as others would amplify in my face evil numerous times before the notion of loving something I couldn’t see became everything my life would be. God First is the notion of love first recognizing the faith Jesus asks us to live even though we have sinned or lived righteously. Get over the thoughts of God being invisible and embrace his challenge to live by love, faith and hope of Eternal Life. Amen.

Join us in our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and Rose for me. Prayer intentions. IN Jesus Name. Amen. Precious Blood

**Sailing Sleeping Sin Soother**

Disciples boat Jesus embark
Lake side other cruise
Hope assumed scampering larks
Faith tested Jesus snoozed

Perishing are we shaking
Master master they awoke
Waves wind rebuked awaking
Jesus calm trust refused

Faith yours aware asked
Amaze and awe invoked
This is then who
Seas winds commanded revoked

Him obey invisible unprovoked
