Take what is yours and go. What if I wish to give this last one the same as you? [Or] am I not free to do as I wish with my own money? Are you envious because I am generous?’ Thus, the last will be first, and the first will be last.” Matthew 20:14-16

Judges 9:6-15, Psalm 21 & Matthew 20:1-16

Jesus shared parables to give examples of reward and of sin. Today in Matthew Jesus speaks of the landowner who gave wages of equal value based upon his free will rooted in charity seemingly being generous with his ability to pay the same to everyone out of a courtesy to be giving creating envy in those who worked the whole day through. I know, it’s tough not to be envious of others success, luck or blessings as the world sees fit for God gives each of us the ability to give the same to all if that is what our heart desires at that time. God asks us to celebrate these instances in love not envy forthcoming in generosity ourselves allowing graces to be bestowed on the unsuspecting. Create your own parable in life being generous to someone who seemingly has much or nothing at all discriminating not on the recipient as the blessing you give shares God’s love of grace not prestige or neediness. Rid the sin of envy by the grace of Truth for the Kingdom of Heaven is void of envy and pride. Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray to give and receive without envy LORD sharing only You Love. Novena prayers day five for Maria with cancer. Novena prayers day four for Ocean Studies Montessori. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. Greg Bishop has our constant prayers. LORD from Psalm 88:3, I chant- “Let my prayer come before You; incline Your ear to my cry.” In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

I am yours in Christ,
