Wig’s Word of God Today 12-11-2011
Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the Will of God for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Isaiah 61:1-2a, 10-11, Luke 1:46-54, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-24 & John 1:6-8, 19-28
The wonder of being thankful sure goes a long way when praying and asking the LORD for your petitions and/or wants and needs of living for His Will. I mean really stop and think about that: Are you praying for what you need or what you want by being thankful? There’s not a human on this earth who will not or is not going through something right now that will not instinctively turn to God and ask for help in times of despair and need.
Usually this will include something from the seven deadly sins of wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, or gluttony. We all are choking our lives with something from this list that when it spins out of control we look for God to help. We reach out and ask Him to help us not to drown without even being thankful for His Strong Arm of Truth. “Help me LORD (I’ll say thanks later attitude) before I go under.”
We must prepare ourselves to be in His presence every minute of every day by our practice, prayer and proclamation. Being thankful is the way we should all begin our petitions as He lives in us to share for others to win. The Bible teaches us to “Rejoice always. Pray without ceasing. In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the Will of God for you in Christ.” It is my prayer to always be thankful LORD as I pray everyone will go and see the movie the Greatest Miracle. In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.
By God, His Son and His Spirit we pray to Rejoice in You LORD always seeking to be thankful for all things. We pray to find the Truth in every step we take. We pray for Tim constantly. We pray for every child and parent. We pray for Bob and Mary Carter. We pray for each other- our families and friends. We pray for Prayer Point to visible for You LORD in our Spirit led location today. We pray for Jose Martucci in his travels to visit his wife. We pray for Michael who is looking for work in ministry. We pray for LIFE FM. We pray for the Spirit to accept, bravery in God to change and intelligence of Christ’s Truth to know. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
