The Gospel of Luke Chapter 24
32 thru 35

Click LOGO for full text of Spirit
led podcast reflecting our life in Christ poetically translated from Scripture
one line at a time.

Then they said
to each other, “Were not our hearts burning [within us] while he spoke to us on
the way and opened the scriptures to us?” 33 So they set out at once and returned to Jerusalem where
they found gathered together the eleven and those with them 34 who were saying, “The Lord has truly been
raised and has appeared to Simon!”35 Then the
two recounted what had taken place on the way and how he was made known to them
in the breaking of the bread.

We find ourselves closing in on the end of Luke’s Gospel
thinking about the good doctor and his complete analogy of Christ’s life. We
always see Christ unknown to those who seem to look down upon the world and
fancy things that keep them gazing confused yet happy by the lights that flash
and stimulate our imaginations to surreal chemically altered understanding
frightened. Today we ask each and everyone of us to overcome this fright and
acknowledge God First as the truth within the Word of God where Scripture makes
us burn with anticipation of sharing The Gospel.

This burning sensation comes from a reality of eyewitnesses
bringing forth a resurrected Jesus. What we failed to see becomes these burning
embers as the Word of God trans-figures His very existence by not only the
blood He shed for our sins but also the anticipation of His arrival by prophets
of old who through God allow us to see a future of redemption. Where on earth
can we find this in any other place except in the Word of God? Jesus expressed
his dismay at them not understanding the depth of a mystery until He broke
bread with them and opened their eyes to the one and only Jesus. This allowed
them to believe running their eyewitness account back to the Upper Room into the
night’s dark middle carrying forth the Flames of their firsthand burning
sensation they felt back to Jerusalem in haste wanting to share with the
brothers that He indeed had Risen. Amen.

Join us in our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord.
I believe You died and rose for me. Prayer intentions. Silence for the prayers
of others. In Jesus Name. Amen. Precious Blood
