Pleading prior man possessed
Gospel of Mark Ch 5 v- 15 thru 20
15 As they approached Jesus, they caught sight of the man who had been possessed by Legion, sitting there clothed and in his right mind. And they were seized with fear. 16 Those who witnessed the incident explained to them what had happened to the possessed man and to the swine. 17 Then they began to beg him to leave their district. 18 As he was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed pleaded to remain with him. 19 But he would not permit him but told him instead, “Go home to your family and announce to them all that the Lord in his pity has done for you.” 20 Then the man went off and began to proclaim in the Decapolis what Jesus had done for him; and all were amazed.
My father used to have black outs. Drunken times that he couldn’t remember. Many times, he would come home and pull us out of bed swinging a belt stating our room was a pigsty dragging us out of bed by our hair as we were rudely awoken from a state of slumber. The next day my father wouldn’t remember a thing. His sheepish smile told me he was embarrassed yet unwilling to admit that he was unaware of what had taken place. Moreover, he couldn’t remember his drive home which led to him hitting a telephone pole on 8th Avenue in Gainesville, Florida splitting the pole into three pieces in 1969. I was just seven years old and already traumatized by his drunken behaviors.
This man who called himself Legion was absolutely possessed surely unable to remember all the abuse he had encountered to himself yet mindful after being healed to totally express his feeling of being liberated and freed from constant torture. My dad expressed this after finding Jesus later in life quitting alcohol and seeing sobriety for more than 30 years. In this time he announced as Legion what God had done for him giving him peace allowing him to seek and ask for us to forgive him which as Jesus tells us we must do and I was able to set him free of past abuse by saying I accepted his apology and embraced him like never before. My healing came just a short 15 yeas ago but I have maintained a total surrender ever since. My story is deep filled with absolute forgiveness understanding Redemption is free and necessary to remain in peace. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty we pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. Silence for the prayers of others dealing with the war in Ukraine. In the Holy Spirit we pray our brothers in Kairos the men in blue especially a prayer for Howard Richmond and Michael Olivetti. We pray for Holy Mother Church. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Jesus approached by countryside dwellers informed
Possessed man they saw
Mind right clothed sitting adorned
Fear seized them all
Them enlightened by witnesses first-hand
Swine and man possessed explained
Begging Jesus to leave district tear down His stand
Boat departure Jesus did ordain
Pleading prior man possessed
Me remain with You
Permitted not Jesus confessed
Go announce to family your mind anew
Lord’s pity man proclaimed
Decapolis region he declared
His healing by Jesus remained
Amazed were all prepared
