The Gospel of John Nine One thru Seven

1 As he passed by he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3 Jesus answered, “Neither he nor his parents sinned; it is so that the works of God might be made visible through him. 4 We have to do the works of the one who sent me while it is day. Night is coming when no one can work. 5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” 6 When he had said this, he spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva, and smeared the clay on his eyes, 7 and said to him, “Go wash in the Pool of Siloam” (which means Sent). So he went and washed, and came back able to see.

This passage reminds me of the song most every human has song since they were young hanging around grandparents who played gospel music as your daily entertainment. Amazing grace is this song about understanding that no one should be a slave in life. The original writer spoke of being bound by a blindness no one wanted to acknowledge yet was understood as being right. Another situation in the world where people know what is happening is wrong yet they were blind until provided with the light of Christ. A light that ignited the world to see truth over temptation love over lies visible sight of sin.

We all come to this point in our lives where we see what God has created as absolute equals and He asks us not to judge those who seek stupidity over salvation. I know it’s hard to separate sometimes this desire to give every person you see the opportunity to know Life eternal and yet you can. Your smile your laugh your singing a gas. The feeling you get when you open your eyes every day and say thank you Lord for giving me the opportunity to share your light of redemption where the blind find grace as the reason to share love, faith and hope of his everlasting peace and mercy. Here, people will want what you have as a smile seen in the sparkling eyes of an endless peace you live. Amen.

Join us in our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Prayers for our son Gabriel and Allen Thomas Wiggins. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca.
