Obedience disobedience annoyed
2ND CORINTHIANS CHAPTER 11 THRU 15
1Now I myself, Paul, urge you through the gentleness and clemency of Christ,* I who am humble when face to face with you, but brave toward you when absent,2* a I beg you that, when present, I may not have to be brave with that confidence with which I intend to act boldly against some who consider us as acting according to the flesh.3For, although we are in the flesh, we do not battle according to the flesh,*4for the weapons of our battle are not of flesh but are enormously powerful, capable of destroying fortresses. We destroy argumentsb5and every pretension raising itself against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive in obedience to Christ,6and we are ready to punish every disobedience, once your obedience is complete.
It sounds like a cliché but the truth is very very plain to see as actions above everything the world wants you to be. When my soulmate in Christ first said, “We live God First in Christ,” I exacted this desire to live His Mystery no matter the pain or the disdain I get from either friend or foe yet I consider all friends though I run from bullies don’t ya know. Paul describes this exact obedience even going as far as to say that we will punish our disobedience with overzealous ideals of perfection.
Being called to be perfect is easier said than done and most of us understand this that God asks of us to live not as a child of flesh but the perfection that is so powerful arguments are destroyed and people trying to captivate knowledge that only God can bestow gives us all a good laugh when we practice pray and proclaim salvation for humanity’s soul. God knows we live in the flesh for He gave us His Son Jesus to abate our sins and to confess He as Risen to the Glory of God the Father. Amen.
Join us in our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and Rose for me. Prayer intentions. IN Jesus Name. Amen.
I am a poet obedient to Christ,
