Wigs Word of God Today 9-11-2013

Put to death, then, the parts of you that are earthly: immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and the greed that is idolatry. Because of these the wrath of God is coming [upon the disobedient]. By these you too once conducted yourselves, when you lived in that way. But now you must put them all away: anger, fury, malice, slander, and obscene language out of your mouths. Stop lying to one another, since you have taken off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed, for knowledge, in the image of its Creator. Colossians 3:5-10

Colossians 3:1-11, Psalm 145 & Luke 6:20-26

We see this change more in everyday life than any other time of our lives by the actions we take to displace behavior that we once reacted with as second nature. My language for one has changed and I see some urge to speak with vulgarity when I’m around my past close friends as I dispel the notion I was doomed for hell as a sinner full of pride thinking I was void of a conscious. God takes away this feeling of pride and allows you to feel peace that resonates in the demeanor, desires and destinations of the heart surrendered to Christ. Oh, you feel it alright just as much as other people notice it. I encourage people to be drawn to me by God’s Light burning by a candle I see as Everlasting for in this place I live in faith, hope and love for Christ’s charity. Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray death comes to our old self as we renew everything our life has to offer for Your Purpose LORD. We never forget 9-11-2001. Novena prayers day eight for Nadege Robergeau in Haiti. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. Greg Bishop has our constant prayers. LORD from Psalm 74:16, 21, I chant- “Yours the day and Yours the night too; You set the moon and sun in place. Let not the oppressed turn back in shame; may the poor and needy praise Your Name.” In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

He called out to us all
Above seek Christ’s call
Right hand seated so tall
Above think of Heaven’s sprawl

Not of the dirt of the earth
Hidden died you for Christ Works
Appears a life of eternal divine glory
Too you will be a part of His story

Paul urges us to kill all immorality
These things that are earthly
Desire of the heart and evil impurity
God’s wrath you disobedient for your idolatry

We all once lived in this selfish pride
Taking the Truth spitting in an eye
Desire of impurity taken for a ride
Passion for Christ brings us to abide

Putting away the anger and fury
We hate slander and oppose a jury
Language obscene is forgotten in a hurry
Mouths not lying old self dispels its worry

Knowledge renewed new self begins
Creator your image of life we send
Greek not Jew cut or uncut we defend
Not Barbarian Slave Christ Free for all from sin
