Joseph her husband, since he was a righteous man, yet unwilling to expose her to shame, decided to divorce her quietly. Such was his intention when, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary your wife into your home. For it is through the Holy Spirit that this child has been conceived in her. She will bear a son and you are to name Him Jesus, because He will Save His people from their sins.” Matthew 1:19-21

Jeremiah 23:5-8, Psalm 94 & Matthew 1:18-24

We are all afraid of the unknown just as much as Joseph was afraid to originally take Mary into his home because she was pregnant with a child that wasn’t his. We want to know when everything will happen to us but are afraid to let go of something or someone to grasp the meaning of placing God First. We can be told a million times placing God First will fill your life with grace but refuse the grace out of ego and pride.

You can be experiencing grace and not even know it or acknowledge it as a grace from our LORD to forgive you, guide you and heal you. The angel relayed the FyGyHy message to Joseph facilitating the grace we must learn to a accept ourselves as Truth establishing the Savior God gave to “Save His people from their sins.” We must acknowledge like Joseph the sinless beauty of the Christ finding forgiveness guiding us to the healing we live to share as the faith, hope and love of charity His Will fulfills. Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray to trust the Spirit unwilling to be afraid of the unknown. Novena prayers day eight for Brian to find work. Greg Bishop has our never-ending prayers. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. LORD from Psalm 94:11-12, I chant, “The LORD knows the plans of man; they are like a fleeting breath. Blessed the one whom You guide, LORD, whom You teach by Your instruction.” In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

I am surrendered in Christ,

Naming the child Jesus Salvation had begun– Matthew 1:18-24

Matthew’s description of the Birth
Our LORD came from a Virgin on earth
What they lacked in wealth they made up the more
The righteousness of God dwelled in their door

Joseph may have delayed His fame
Quieted by honor downcast by shame
Spirit so Holy sent God’s Name
To anoint Mary Holy Redemption to gain

Quietly divorce was his thought
No shame for love he held in his arms
Then a dream brought an angel to stop
Killing the wedding the Holy Spirit had brought

Sins of all people will be eternally forgiven
By the One Mary carries in her womb a living
Sinless at birth given the only Holy Name
Emmanuel fulfilled what the Prophet exclaimed

Us with God meaning His love
As Joseph awoke to find him a buzz
Spirit so Holy anointed his tongue
Naming the child Jesus Salvation had begun
