Morsel taken poor forgot
The Gospel of John 13 12 thru 20
21 When he had said this, Jesus was deeply troubled and testified, “Amen, amen, I say to you, one of you will betray me.” 22 The disciples looked at one another, at a loss as to whom he meant. 23 One of his disciples, the one whom Jesus loved, was reclining at Jesus’ side. 24 So Simon Peter nodded to him to find out whom he meant. 25 He leaned back against Jesus’ chest and said to him, “Master, who is it?” 26 Jesus answered, “It is the one to whom I hand the morsel after I have dipped it.” So he dipped the morsel and [took it and] handed it to Judas, son of Simon the Iscariot. 27 After he took the morsel, Satan entered him. So Jesus said to him, “What you are going to do, do quickly.” 28 [Now] none of those reclining at table realized why he said this to him. 29 Some thought that since Judas kept the money bag, Jesus had told him, “Buy what we need for the feast,” or to give something to the poor. 30 So he took the morsel and left at once. And it was night.
Facing death eminently Jesus obviously felt the pain of knowing he would die but more importantly this fright wasn’t something that scared him I believe as much as troubled who he was going to be leaving behind. He had become good friends with the twelve allowing them to see the insights of God’s parables and miracles of truth something I’m sure many of us would have relished if given the chance. But alas we do we do have the chance to be his disciple directing a traitor to fulfill the will of God can obviously be taken in similarities by the life you have lead until now.
Jesus knows everything for he is one in the Trinity of love, faith and hope of mercy for humanity. Remind yourself that Jesus was seen firsthand eye witnessed allowing you the hope I feel in knowing we live by his will to find everlasting peace to be forgiven for anything by his mercy. Here is the life Jesus asked us to lead displaying humility without fright complaining less and living his life knowing what to share by your practice, prayer and proclamation of living redeemed. Remember even in the bitterness of shame Jesus can give you peace without chains. Amen.

**Morsel taken poor forgot**
Me betray troubling Jesus announced
Meaning who disciples wondered without words
Looking around to see if someone was pronounced
Side reclining Peter the Simon leaned seeking the password
It is who Master
Morsel I will hand
Predipped label him faster
Jesus signified Judas stand
Him entered by Satan
After receiving his demand
Labeled a traitor stating
Quickly do his command
Table recliners realized not
Iscariot’s son betrayer ran
Morsel taken poor forgot
Jesus directing defectors plan
