THE GOSPEL OF LUKE CHAPTER 22 ONE THRU SIX
1 Now the feast of Unleavened Bread, called the Passover, was drawing near, 2 and the chief priests and the scribes were seeking a way to put him to death, for they were afraid of the people. 3 Then Satan entered into Judas, the one surnamed Iscariot, who was counted among the Twelve, 4 and he went to the chief priests and temple guards to discuss a plan for handing him over to them. 5 They were pleased and agreed to pay him money. 6 He accepted their offer and sought a favorable opportunity to hand him over to them in the absence of a crowd.
Jesus moves closer and closer to becoming the death to erase humanities sin. Our practice these next 30 days or more will be the eyewitness account of the torture, humiliation and Crucifixion of God’s Only Son. Truly, Jesus became the “Mr. Know-it-all” of human flesh and bones creating a perfection mankind has striven to obtain ever since lacking understanding and prevalence of practicing God’s Word daily.
Now the discussion comes of how the person who would hand over Jesus is swallowed by Satan who in spewing his vial perfume scented with financial hatred of all things good. Money goes a long way when wanting to overcome a life of scratching to survive and it doesn’t matter the era of time for it is God we denied in kind. Jesus knew it was His time allowing the seizing of Him soon to erase our sins of denial’s bind. Amen.
