Men who fish for another
Gospel of Matthew Ch 4 v- 18 thru 22
18 As he was walking by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon who is called Peter, and his brother Andrew, casting a net into the sea; they were fishermen. 19 He said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.” 20 At once they left their nets and followed him. 21 He walked along from there and saw two other brothers, James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John. They were in a boat, with their father Zebedee, mending their nets. He called them, 22 and immediately they left their boat and their father and followed him.
To share the Gospel to be a fisherman of men. Have you heard the call? Come after Me? How do you do that? Many a person does say because they haven’t heard the call because when you do you know what to say and it seems simple but you won’t be able to deny Jesus. A Martyr you will become if you live in a Muslim country and are male but if you are female and deny our Lord you still become a slave to other men and birth children because of their sin. There is young lady in Nigeria who was kidnapped from her school along with countless others as teenagers she denied her captors request to serve and confess the Muslim faith. “Please!” Her friends begged her to just recite the Muslim oath and you’ll live but as she knew she would still be abused and her Lord and Savior meant more than that abuse. This is complete denial of self and our America needs to come to her aid and force Nigeria to rescue her. Her name is Leah Sharibu and the Nigerian president is in Washington this week and needs to be told, “Rescue Leah!” Her inability to deny Jesus Christ is the testament of what Redemption means to her soul knowing Jesus is the only way to experience Life Eternal. She knew what Jesus meant when she said yes to His truth and is a model to follow worldwide. President Biden get involved and allow freedom of religion to be honored not suppressed. Amen.
