Mary walked in the dark
The Gospel of John 20 One thru Five
1 On the first day of the week, Mary of Magdala came to the tomb early in the morning, while it was still dark, and saw the stone removed from the tomb. 2 So she ran and went to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and told them, “They have taken the Lord from the tomb, and we don’t know where they put him.” 3 So Peter and the other disciple went out and came to the tomb. 4 They both ran, but the other disciple ran faster than Peter and arrived at the tomb first; 5 he bent down and saw the burial cloths there, but did not go in.
There was a Mary who lost her fright of walking in the dark because no matter what she’d find light to illuminate her path to see and witness firsthand the resurrection of her Lord. That would have surely been an amazing yet frightening sight. To enter or run back and find the strength God set in place to further the Kingdom of Salvation by the Redemption of those who believe. Short list here, really. But not there in the beginning. Mercy was at hand. Jesus dies to forgive sins and these people He brought to help did as they were instructed. Looked for His Light in everything from beginning to end. John allowed his eyewitness testimony to reveal the Truth of this Resurrection by the first-hand love of Jesus himself where I can only imagine the INSIGHT John must have been given by this tender love. The kind of love that takes care of your mother forever until taken to her Son’s Kingdom to further the ideal of Salvation, Redemption. Release. You tell me what Jesus did for us on the Cross and learn to simply believe. Like the Disciple whom Jesus declared His love. Your Mercy. Your trust in Him to find His nourishment each and every day fulfilled knowing how to live His Truth to help reveal; Jesus. Amen.

Early tomb visitor from Magdala week day first
Mary walked in the dark to forever quench her thirst
Tomb arrival finds removed stone in the dirt
Running to Peter and disciple revealing tomb empty thinking the worst
Early morning run for both was in store
Faster disciple one Jesus loved beat him to the door
Clothes of burial seen without entering to adore
Awaiting Simon Peter before risking entry to implore
