Gospel of Mark Ch 10 v- 17 thru 22
17 As he was setting out on a journey, a man ran up, knelt down before him, and asked him, “Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?” 18 Jesus answered him, “Why do you call me good?* No one is good but God alone. 19 You know the commandments: ‘You shall not kill; you shall not commit adultery; you shall not steal; you shall not bear false witness; you shall not defraud; honor your father and your mother.’” 20 He replied and said to him, “Teacher, all of these I have observed from my youth.” 21 Jesus, looking at him, loved him and said to him, “You are lacking in one thing. Go, sell what you have, and give to [the] poor and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.” 22 At that statement his face fell, and he went away sad, for he had many possessions.
How will you find Life Eternal? Can you inherit this without going broke? The levels of surrender are hard to fathom unless you practice, pray and proclaim Jesus who spoke not just to those He walked around with teaching each and every stroke but to you and me for He will ask us to give Him your all in different situations before we all croak. And that’s no joke. God is good all the time for all the time God is good making us realize our strengths and weaknesses as we enter the battlefield of doing right over bad in the hood. God does call some to give up every possession you could ever have. Even a rosary given to a stranger can make you feel glad. Your surrender will come from Him alone He will whisper in your soul how to give and trust afraid not of His goal. Does He beckon you to pray in a hole like a Monk who barely eats but bread and water for month as His goal. Maybe God is calling you to be a priest or a religious where everything is given away where the only thing left to do is constantly pray. He will anoint you in this similar way as you follow the commandments each and every day sharing with the world Jesus is the only way to find Eternal Life as we learn how to surrender with zeal to obey. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty we pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. Silence for the prayers of others dealing with the war in Ukraine. In the Holy Spirit we pray our brothers in Kairos especially a prayer for our men in blue. Day 9 We pray for our niece Brittany who is a mother of four and 33 years old who has brain cancer stage four. We pray for Holy Mother Church. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Alone God good not I
Commandments know before you die
Kill not shall you
Adultery commit not before your through
Steal not shall you
Witness false not as smooth
Defraud not shall you
Mother and father honor before your through
Since my youth he replied as proof
Love by Jesus this recluse
Him Jesus began to stare
Him loved before His beware
Thing lacking are you poor to care
Treasures all sell for Heaven prepare
Me follow come and see
Heaven on earth as lived be free
Face fell in shame all would believe
Possessions many made him sad he could ‘t agree
