THE GOSPEL OF LUKE CHAPTER 16 19 THRU 23
24 And he cried out, ‘Father Abraham, have pity on me. Send Lazarus to dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am suffering torment in these flames.’ 25 Abraham replied, ‘My child, remember that you received what was good during your lifetime while Lazarus likewise received what was bad; but now he is comforted here, whereas you are tormented. 26 Moreover, between us and you a great chasm is established to prevent anyone from crossing who might wish to go from our side to yours or from your side to ours.’ 27 He said, ‘Then I beg you, father, send him to my father’s house, 28 for I have five brothers, so that he may warn them, lest they too come to this place of torment.’ 29 But Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the prophets. Let them listen to them.’ 30 He said, ‘Oh no, father Abraham, but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’ 31 Then Abraham said, ‘If they will not listen to Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded if someone should rise from the dead.’”
The world will stifle you stealing your joy in the midst of a celebration unable to place God first distracted continually unable to breathe. Yes the deaf ears of humanity have cried out eternally wishing instead of praying and living as the Prophets foretold. We sing and dance in the moment of Christ many times away from the crowd or even dancing uncontrollably well singing aloud walking through the store of groceries.
Listen, listen to the Word we practice each day finding a grace of love, faith and hope living redeemed. I stopped running away from that to place God First yet I too struggle with procrastination where the flash and flair of our society deadens your will but I am always reminded to call out to Satan and push him behind you for living in Salvation has forgiveness where the body and the blood of Christ is the nutrition your peace comes from daily. Practice. Pray. Proclaim. Amen.

Man rich cried me pity
Abraham the Father of all was asked
Flames torment suffering tongue cool me pity
Finger dipped water Lazarus was asked
Replying Abraham why me pity
Lifetime of good received remember was asked
Bad Lazarus received likewise asking not for me pity
Here comforted Lazarus while torment given man rich was asked
Chasm great between crossing prevented
Our side prevents traveling wish
Man rich replied him send brothers five prevented
House of my fathers torment prevent was his wish
Replying Abraham them listen prophets Moses have they
Repent will they Father by the walking dead received
Prophets and Moses listened to not have they
Dead risen persuades not families who hasn’t received
