Knowledge of submitting to calm listening to wisdom. In Honor of Fr. John Breslin.

The LORD is on high, but cares for the lowly and knows the proud from afar. Psalm 138:6

Even when you were dead [in] transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He brought you to life along with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions; obliterating the bond against us, with its legal claims, which was opposed to us, He also removed it from our midst, nailing it to the cross; despoiling the principalities and the powers, He made a public spectacle of them, leading them away in triumph by it. Colossians 2:13-15

If you then, who are wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the Father in Heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him? Luke 11:13

Genesis 18:20-32, Psalm 138, Colossians 2:12-15 & Luke 11:1-13

The death of sin came from the highest of Sacrifice allowing anyone for eternity to know forgiveness by a God Who “cares for the lowly and knows the proud from afar.” The authority of the time tried to make a public spectacle of Him dragging Him through the streets to an ultimate whipping by items we can’t imagine literally nailed to a Cross in the name of cruelty, evil and pride. We must remember He even forgave them allowing any who professed with their lips the might as He walked away from their torture and death rising to walk by the Power of God. We endure nothing compared to His example as provided for by God Himself. We know only what we want unless we finally realized we are here to please Him by helping one another in faith, hope and love of His Charity.

Here, we find the reason to walk and to talk making decisions on God’s Truth eliminating self-desires for that of charitable yearnings. I see this surrender in the life of a man who gave his all to giving never keeping anything for himself living by the obedience to charity’s all. He went to medical school at fifty-four taking his nephew along the way ultimately serving the poorest of the poor in Haiti for some twenty-five plus years building a hospital leaving with only his sermons in hand. He tended the sick, saved the souls of sinners and searched for the charity he would instill in countless people for a quarter of a century. I see myself craving this knowledge of submitting to calm listening to wisdom. If only we’d give in. Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray to ask the Holy Spirit for guidance and wisdom. 84th Birthday prayers for Father Doctor John Breslin. Novena prayers day two for Jon. Novena prayers day three for Llourdes Capelo. Novena prayers day six for the Rescate Prison Ministry. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. Greg Bishop has our constant prayers. LORD from Psalm 100:2-3, I chant- “serve the LORD with gladness; come before Him with joyful song. Know that the LORD is God, He made us, we belong to Him, we are His people, the flock He shepherds.” In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

I am yours in Christ,

Charity of Christ to witness– In Honor of Fr. John Breslin

Tall in stature
Towering above
Meek and humble
Living Christ-like love

His life served in honor
Of charity’s wings
Knowing the Father
Preached psalm he sings

Serving the Church
Was Truth he sowed
Becoming a doctor
Christ’s miracles he showed

Age wasn’t a deterrent
Nothing stood in his way
Nephew saw his courage
Medical schooling together he’d say

His smile is everlasting
An impact on my wife and I
Charity of Christ to witness
Obedient surrender till the day he dies
