Jerusalem led temple parapet stand

THE GOSPEL OF LUKE CHAPTER 4 9 THRU 13

9 Then he led him to Jerusalem, made him stand on the parapet of the temple, and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down from here, 10 for it is written:
‘He will command his angels concerning you,
to guard you,’

11 and:
‘With their hands they will support you,
lest you dash your foot against a stone.'”

12 Jesus said to him in reply,

“It also says, ‘You shall not put the Lord, your God, to the test.'” 13 When the devil had finished every temptation, he departed from him for a time.

I believe we learn more about Jesus when we have Jesus and Satan communicating one on one. We hear Satan testing Jesus allowing prophesies to be fulfilled instead of exacting hate by turning and destroying Satan with one breath. No anger displayed just steady responses of love, faith and hope of Redemption. To challenge God is fruitless for the seeds will not grow amongst the weeds of the world. I remember as a kid I always thought that God can will something that He could control everything around you from the weather to your sister and brother but most importantly your parents. I remember specifically as a seven-year-old boy down on my knees in tears pleading with God looking to the sky hands clasped repeating over-and-over-and-over again, “Please don’t let it rain Lord. Please don’t let my mom call us inside because of thunder and lightning. I promise as soon as we get done playing I’ll clean up our room.”

Yes, children do say the darndest things but we really see in adults this type of behavior on a constant basis wanting more asking God to present them with riches or miraculous instantaneous healing. The Lord knows we’re going to turn to him and that we are going to be tempted during this time just as he was tempted and told the devil how God heals all wounds willing and forgiving all transgressions possessing your soul. Even in this time of uncertainty where we wonder if we visit one place or another if something bad will happen. Trust the Lord as He reminds us today that Satan will always pull you back to the world but most importantly God, The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit as One will embrace you even if you’ve denied him for so long he will hold you and He will look you in the eyes telling you how much he loves you. Let us not ask in fantasy lest we dash our foot on a stone stumbling into the complications our Lord has already undone. Let us be persistent in our practice, prayer and proclamation for Salvation’s Son. Amen.

Join us in our daily prayer of forgiveness. I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and Rose for me. Prayer intentions. IN Jesus Name. Novena Day four for the soul of Grace Roessner. Amen. Precious Blood

Jerusalem led temple parapet stand
Satan’s challenge jump
Angels written commanded
You guarded not stumped

Supported stone foot dash less
Replying Jesus test not your Lord
Written reminders we must never resist
Departing Satan temptations made Christ bored
