We can live our lives in endless ways of knowing what charity means in fasting.

Is this what you call a fast, a day acceptable to the LORD? Isaiah 58:5e

The days will come when the bridegroom is taken away from them, and then they will fast. Matthew 9:15c

Isaiah 58:1-9, Psalm 51 & Matthew 9:14-15

We all seeks ways to fast for God’s Truth of searching, sharing and saving people unknown and known in our lives to experience the joy of Salvation and the freedom of faith, hope and love I can describe in endless ways just as we can live our lives in endless ways of knowing what charity means in fasting. As Isaiah so eloquently puts it, “Is it not sharing your bread with the hungry, bringing the afflicted and the homeless into your house; Clothing the naked when you see them, and not turning your back on your own flesh?”

There have been times in my life as yours where God seemed to answer our prayer in a seconds notice as much as He allows you to wait but in Christ we can live in God endlessly abiding by the graces of promise, permission and passion to love life’s purpose of charity. The grace as Isaiah describes is everlasting, “Then your light shall break forth like the dawn, and your wound shall quickly be healed; Your vindication shall go before you, and the glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.” We may fast as a community of believers every Lent but I beg us to fast for souls of Christ love every moment of every day relinquishing not the thought of charity in every step we take.

John’s disciples wanted to know why Christ’s disciples didn’t fast as much as they learning why we are asked to fast constantly in our lives now for we have to wait on His return where during Christ’s time they touched His cloak and were healed. Now we are healed by the faith, hope and love we live for charity’s heartbeat and breath of God’s love. We have a relationship with the Spirit of God in a Trinity that comforts us by Truth. We must live in His Word to know Christ in our hearts searching not for sin’s funky desires but love’s charitable heart. Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today to fast often to be alive in charity’s love. Prayers for Jody and Tommy for Carolina Emmaus #2. Praying for Kairos Prison Ministry. Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. Constant prayers for Greg Bishop. Day eight of a Novena of Prayers for a teenager name Monica. Prayers for Marco. LORD, share the Truth of charity in every step we take. Prayers for my son Allen Thomas Wiggins 27 years old today. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.

Yours in Christ,

“Here I am” will come His groan– Isaiah 58:1-9

The LORD says

Full-throated wed

Unsparingly beg

Crying out wickedness is dead

Their sins of Jacob’s house fear

Seeking me year-after-year

Desired to know my ways

Does fasting seemingly pay?

Access to God and pleased

Fasting in ways unclean

Ending the fast to brawl

Fighting waving the wicked claw

Fast to hear His Name on high

Penance in a day to abide

Sackcloth and ashes to lie

Release the bonds of oppression your cry

Giving the hungry some bread

Oppressed and homeless you wed

In your house to lie in a bed

Saving the life in fasting from death

Turn your back not on your own

His dawn of Light breaks the tone

Vindication of the LORD’s glory shown

“Here I am” will come His groan
