Indeed, the Word of God is living and effective, sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating even between soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and able to discern reflections and thoughts of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

Wig’s Word of God Today 1-19-2013

Embrace the Word of God for everything we are striving to forget everything we are not.

Indeed, the Word of God is living and effective, sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating even between soul and spirit, joints and marrow, and able to discern reflections and thoughts of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

I did not come to call the righteous but sinners. Mark 2:17e

Hebrews 4:12-16, Psalm 19 & Mark 2:13-17

We find more than we realize when we embrace the Word of God for everything we are striving to forget everything we are not. Our innate ability to love is described in such detail every time you read a different passage you find God’s Spirit enlightening you a different way. The witness of a prisoner last night from my Kairos Ministry struck this cord as he described being raised by a preacher rebelling to the point of going to jail and learning while in jail his friends had been dying around him. I expected to hear then of relatives being shot or friends overdosing in some obscure place right under our noses.

Since he was from a local Broward community, I sat and expected one story I might identify with in my homeless ministry but was privileged to hear how the Truth had saved his life even if it was going to jail for more than what most get for the same crime of theft. You see he gets the local paper from this place and he described his partying friends, family and foe alike were dying from excessiveness of flesh from a disease no cure had been established or “cocktail” to control. He called his sister in his slated calling time to be told “God’s been watching over you.”

This has caused him to practice, pray and preach being thankful for God sparing his life to be a witness of God’s grace amongst the others struggling with addictions of flesh and excess. He learned to experience God’s Word as “living and effective” “penetrating even between soul and spirit.”  Something many of us have learned to embrace daily or even moment-by-moment because we want to live His desired thoughts, action and deed amongst the languished, lonely and lost by having true experience. God reminds us today He didn’t come to call the righteous but the sinners of the world allowing us to identify with the needs of sharing God’s grace.

Many of us may think we have been to hell and back seemingly “this close” (hold you’re your fingers up and barely a part) to danger, detention or death. We know God has kept us here to be a witness for Him in some way and it truly begins in the Word of God. Our Father asks much from us never leaving us empty handed to accomplish anything in His Son’s Name. I have been blessed to experience the Kairos Ministry alongside “The Walk to Emmaus Ministry” finding God’s Will in every instance. Jesus asks us to share His love of His Truth by visiting the sick and imprisoned. An experience you are sure to never forget much like visiting a dying patient enlightened with God’s love accepting their call in His grace and peace. Visiting the ones behind bars can be just what God is calling you to do and our ministry of Kairos needs a few good men (Joey) and women to join. A men’s Kairos is set to start this Tuesday with weekly meetings leading up to a 3 ½ day encounter April 4-7th with meetings at St. Louis in Pinecrest on February 5/12/19/26 and March 19/26. Please reply to my study if you are interested. Pray about it and come help accomplish the beauty of God’s Will. Amen.

We ask in prayer: Dear LORD, we pray today we allow Your Word to penetrate even between soul and spirit . Praying for SC & STL Emmaus. Praying for Kairos Prison Ministry to gain a few good men.  Prayers for Dr. Cruz-Peluca. We pray for Greg Bishop to find healing LORD. We pray LORD to share Your Love. In Jesus Name we Eternally pray. Amen.

Yours in Christ,

Receiving mercy and help from grace as we pray– Hebrews 4:12-16

We cannot deny

God’s Word will make you cry

Living and effective

Sharper than a two-edged perspective

Penetrates real deep

Spirit we learn to keep

Resting between soul and spirit

Joints and marrow are near It

Reflections of the heart discerned with grace

The anointing of God’s love your saving face

Nothing can hide from His Scope of the world

Everything naked and exposed rendered unsure

Our High Priest has seen it all

Discovering heaven and hell so tall

Dying to Rise confession our need

In belief we find Eternal Life to succeed

No sympathy from our weakness in every way

He has been tested and assured God’s Plan to stay

Allowing us to approach the Throne of Grace each day

Receiving mercy and help from grace as we pray
