THE BOOK OF PHILEMON CHAPTER ONE 10 THRU 16

10 I urge you on behalf of my child Onesimus, whose father I have become in my imprisonment, 11 who was once useless to you but is now useful to [both] you and me. 12 I am sending him, that is, my own heart, back to you. 13 I should have liked to retain him for myself, so that he might serve me on your behalf in my imprisonment for the gospel,14 but I did not want to do anything without your consent, so that the good you do might not be forced but voluntary. 15 Perhaps this is why he was away from you for a while, that you might have him back forever, 16 no longer as a slave but more than a slave, a brother, beloved especially to me, but even more so to you, as a man and in the Lord.

It seems fitting today that we speak of Paul’s love of a slave whose father he became by example to share the Gospel- The Truth we all seek in one form or another. We all have one slaved area but must confess as I look back over the history of mankind, I condemn those men who forcibly made men, women and children to be their slaves. Yet when we become a slave to Christ we are looking not for Cruise kudos like the actor turned self proclaimed religion in a far-fetched imagination granting some a feel of news good by displaying a cross without understanding what redemption truly means in soul Salvation.

When people of Christ get involved with the beauty of charity, we do not look for others around us to be mesmerized by anything but Jesus. In years past I have participated in Kairo’s Nondenominational Christian Prison Ministry that brought me to meet many a fine person. These people were gracious, loving and supportive when life was a plenty or now as life deals an unexpected hand. I to believe that you should take care of those around you those who are a part of your community in someway and I pledge my readership to the story today as I begin reading a letter a Brother in Christ of mine named Mo.

Mo is short for Maurice and I ask that all you do is listen to why $10 is nothing until 1000 people give to see the beauty of Charity-Jesus at work. Hi this is Mauricio Zuniga reaching out to my community. On October 31st of 2018 I was informed, after living 40 years in the USA that I had to go back to my country of origin to resolve an issue with my immigrant status at the embassy in Bogota, Colombia.

Unfortunately I was not offered any recourse or relief and from one day to the next my whole life changed; I was sent back to a country I have not lived in over 40 years and away from my wife and all that I have known for all these years. I have been married for 32 years with a wonderful american born citizen and we have 3 daughters, also born and raised in Miami, FL.

It has been close to 7 months and even though we have tried to survive all these months, our business, our only source of income, has been reduced to ruble and our bills have started to accumulate. Our savings have been depleted and without the ability to produce we have been put in a very precarious situation with the stern possibilities of losing what we have built for many years including our home. We have taken our fight to the front lines to voice our concerns with these type of injustices being carried on all over this beautiful country of ours.

I am asking for donations to be able to curtail the expenses of living abroad during this ordeal, the ability to curtail our legal costs as well as those living costs while we try to get back on our feet and return to the US. The process may take an additional 2 years according to the backlog in immigration courts. Under the current situation our lives have been dramatically changed emotionally and economically with very serious personal consequences. I have been blessed with a very supportive family but right now we are in a precarious economic situation with no end in sight. Your contribution will help us see a light at the tunnel by being able to sustain this economic emergency and work towards a faster resolution.

I have been an active and charitable member of my community specially in the Kairos Prison ministry as well as the Emmaus ministry, where I have been able to see Gods Grace upfront and touch peoples lives in a way I never thought I would. Now I am hurting and I am humbly asking for your help in providing me and my family with a reprieve and the opportunity of survival while we endure these difficult moments in our lives. Like everything in life, this too shall pass but please help us prevent a disastrous outcome while we are able to reclaim our dignity and our lives in the US. To be continued, God Bless.
