The Acts of the Apostles Chapter 3 Verse One thru Ten
1 Now Peter and John were going up to the temple area for the three o’clock hour of prayer. 2 And a man crippled from birth was carried and placed at the gate of the temple called “the Beautiful Gate” every day to beg for alms from the people who entered the temple. 3 When he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple, he asked for alms. 4 But Peter looked intently at him, as did John, and said, “Look at us.” 5 He paid attention to them, expecting to receive something from them. 6 Peter said, “I have neither silver nor gold, but what I do have I give you: in the name of Jesus Christ the Nazorean, [rise and] walk.” 7 Then Peter took him by the right hand and raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankles grew strong. 8 He leaped up, stood, and walked around, and went into the temple with them, walking and jumping and praising God. 9 When all the people saw him walking and praising God, 10 they recognized him as the one who used to sit begging at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, and they were filled with amazement and astonishment at what had happened to him.
In Acts 3:1-10, we encounter a powerful moment in the early church when Peter and John encounter a lame man at the Temple gate called Beautiful. This man had been crippled from birth and was accustomed to begging for alms, relying on the generosity of passersby. However, his encounter with Peter and John would forever change his life. Instead of giving him silver or gold, Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk!”
With that declaration, Peter took the man by the right hand and lifted him up; instantly, the man’s feet and ankles were strengthened. To the astonishment of onlookers, he leaped up, walking, jumping, and praising God as he entered the Temple, a living testimony to the power of Jesus’ name. This miraculous transformation not only changed the man’s life but also drew many others to witness the power of Jesus evident in Peter and John.
This scripture serves as a profound reminder that we, too, can be vessels of God’s miraculous power when we operate in His Name. The same authority that empowered Peter and John resides in every believer. Just as they were instruments of healing and restoration, so can we be. By extending love, support, and encouragement to those in need, we can showcase the immense compassion of Christ.
When we boldly proclaim the name of Jesus and act in faith, we make space for miracles to manifest. Let your life be a living testament of Jesus’ transformative power, inviting others to see Him reflected in your actions. Amen!
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior’s command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Ephesians 6:17-20

**They Were Filled With Amazement And Astonishment**
In the heart of the temple, at the hour of prayer,
Two souls walked together, with a mission to share.
Peter and John, with courage unbound,
To the lame man they noticed, he lay on the ground.
“Alms for the needy,” he called out in vain,
His spirit was weary, his hopes were in chains.
He looked to the apostles, with hope in his eyes,
But silver and gold did not meet with his cries.
“Rise up!” said Peter, his voice strong and pure,
“In the name of Jesus, your faith will secure.”
He took him by hand, lifted high from the dirt,
And the man felt the strength where once there was hurt.
With leaping and dancing, he praised the Most High,
His heart filled with joy, as he soared toward the sky.
In the temple he walked, whole and free from his plight,
A miracle witnessed that glorious night.
All marveled and wondered at what had been done,
For in the name of Jesus, the victory was won.
Through simple obedience, the Spirit did flow,
A lesson in faith, for all men to know.
So let us remember, in times of despair,
That healing is possible, through love and through prayer.
For the Name above all names, has Power to heal,
And like the lame man, His grace we can feel. Amen.
